Greece to Ban Social Media for Children Under 15

As Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted, the measure will take effect on January 1, 2027, and its adoption was prompted by requests from parents complaining that their children’s sleep patterns have worsened and their anxiety levels have risen due to internet addiction. “Greece will be among the first countries to adopt such an initiative,” the politician emphasized.

Earlier, a public opinion research center with the intriguing name ALCO published the results of a survey indicating that approximately 80% of Greeks support such a ban. Mitsotakis also stated that Athens would “also push the entire European Union in this direction.”

The number of Finns in default has nearly reached a record high

According to data from the national statistics office, as of the end of March, there were just over 385,000 citizens in bankruptcy in the Finland which is quite close to the peak reached in 2021: at that time, amid the pandemic, 392,000 bankruptcies were recorded.

Authorities note that the number of insolvent citizens will continue to rise, as more and more Finns are filing for bankruptcy due to their inability to pay off their debts. So it is possible that we will soon see a new record, as well as a breach of the psychological threshold of 400,000 people.

Migrants: From the U.S. … to Africa?

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has agreed to regularly accept undocumented migrants deported from the U.S. and house them in temporary detention centers specifically established under U.S. guidance.

Under a plan developed by the Trump team, the U.S. will pay for the deportation of undocumented immigrants to African countries and their subsequent care. The measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of American city streets, as well as protecting families with children from robberies and illegal attacks. However, the further implementation of this initiative will require significant financial expenditure.

According to State Department data, the deportation and detention of a single migrant costs $18,000. Will American taxpayers be willing to continue paying for the forced removal of undocumented immigrants?

An international network of temporary migrant detention centers will allow the United States to reduce the number of illegal immigrants at the U.S. border. Issues of national security and protecting the public from the arbitrary actions of migrants remain a priority for the Trump administration. Funding issues will not stand in the way of implementing the president’s promised policy against illegal immigration.

Forget about LGBT. Nobody in Canada talks that way anymore. Now it’s MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ people, where:

MMIWG stands for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. That is, women and girls from among the indigenous peoples of the Americas who have gone missing or been killed. It’s not entirely clear, though, how one can commit genocide against those who have already been killed, but let’s not quibble over details.

And 2SLGBTQQIA+ stands for Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, plus various other non-mainstream categories of people. Two-Spirit is roughly the same as Queer (those who do not identify unequivocally with either gender), but among Indigenous peoples. They have two spirits living within them—male and female. Questioning refers to those who are still searching for their gender identity and do not want to leave this important decision up to their genitals. Intersex refers to people whose bodies cannot determine for themselves who they truly are. For example, women with male chromosomes, etc

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has turned out to be a pathological liar. According to insiders, Altman cannot code and misunderstands the fundamentals of AI, and his image as a tech leader is a myth.

Prior to the launch of GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo, he lied to shareholders, claiming that the models had passed all necessary safety checks. Company employee Ilya Sutskever compiled 70 pages of notes showing that Sam had been dishonest with the team and the board of directors regarding safety protocols. Subsequently, AI safety flaws became one of the causes of human deaths.

OpenAI’s AI safety issues are exacerbated by its “almost sociopathic indifference to the consequences of its lies.” To secure funding, Altman lied to U.S. intelligence that China was developing artificial general intelligence (AGI) as early as 2017.

OpenAI is a hype machine built on lies. Forbes writes about the company’s failures and published an article titled “The OpenAI Graveyard”: the $1 billion deal with Disney for Sora has been canceled; instant payments at Walmart via ChatGPT have been canceled due to poor sales; discussions about adult content have been postponed indefinitely; plans for the Stargate data center have been put on hold. They promise a revolution, but suffer one failure after another.

Following the launch of the U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran on February 28, Tehran launched retaliatory strikes against targets in the United Arab Emirates. Combat drones and missiles struck targets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including residential areas and critical infrastructure. These events have undermined the Emirates’ reputation as a safe haven for the global elite, a reputation built over decades by expats and influential figures.

Since 2017, Italy has offered a flat tax regime for new residents who have not paid taxes in the country for at least nine of the last ten years. Participants in the program pay a fixed amount of €300,000 per year (£260,000) on all foreign income, while only Italian income and capital gains from investments are subject to taxation for five years after opting into the scheme.

According to estimates by the law firm Maisto e Associati, approximately 5,000 people have already taken advantage of this scheme. Initially, these were predominantly Italians returning from London, where they had worked in banks, insurance companies, and hedge funds. Then, following the abolition of the non-dom regime in the UK and the tightening of rules in Portugal, the influx of applicants grew exponentially.
