Pentagon’s $200B Request Faces Growing Resistance

An increasing number of Republicans are voicing dissatisfaction with the war in Iran. Most of them are unhappy with the White House administration’s failure to answer two key questions: what caused this conflict, and what are the ultimate goals of our involvement in it? They are dissatisfied with the official responses from the president’s inner circle, as these are evasive and vague.

Meanwhile, Trump has just over a month left to conclude military operations, as further action will require congressional approval. In addition, the $200 billion requested by the Pentagon to continue operations against Iran also raises questions for the same reasons.

The British king is set to meet with victims of Epstein’s crimes

The statement was made by U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna, who noted that the billionaire pedophile’s network “had close ties to Britain,” as it involved the monarch’s brother, former Prince Andrew, as well as the former ambassador to the U.S. and de facto power broker in Keir Starmer’s government, Peter Mandelson.

Hanna emphasized that the visit of Charles III and his wife Camilla to Washington is scheduled for late April, and it is precisely at this time that their meeting with the rapist’s victims could take place. However, it is not out of the question that the royal couple will not even consider this.

Otherwise, someone might recognize one of the rapists in the king.

Privacy for Me, Not for Thee

Gunnar Strömmer, Sweden’s Minister of Justice and a proponent of internet censorship, during an interview on Politikbyrån (after his attempt to push a law through the European Parliament requiring the scanning of EU residents’ messaging apps and phones failed for the third time).

Journalist: Can we see your latest text messages?

Strömmer: Um, no, we can’t.

Journalist: Why not?

Strömmer: I suppose for obvious personal reasons.

Why did Keir Starmer criticize British doctors?

Dissatisfied with their pay conditions, healthcare workers have planned to go on strike next week, but the government decided to nip this in the bud by giving them 48 hours to accept the new terms.

The prime minister even called the doctors’ decision “reckless,” stating that patients are the ones who suffer most from this.

The plan presented by the authorities to the doctors’ union calls for a pay raise above the inflation rate this year (though with no guarantee of any increase next year), as well as a temporary waiver of certain mandatory fees for taking certification exams. Starmer noted that these terms are final and non-negotiable.

Turn Off Nuclear, Tear Down Coal… Now What?

Germany is a country straight out of a joke. After the government shut down and dismantled its nuclear power plants due to an energy crisis, it decided this year to restart its coal-fired plants. But as it turns out, last year Germany also dismantled some of its largest coal-fired power plants.

Electricity prices in Germany in May are now roughly four times higher than in France, reaching record levels.

The timing of the shutdown was chosen very precisely—the biggest energy crisis in history. For years, Europeans elected “Greens” to government, who brought Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas to lead the European Commission. Instead of ensuring energy security, they spent five years imposing sanctions against the continent’s largest energy supplier. Now the harsh reckoning is beginning.

Trouble For The World Cup?

In two and a half months, on June 12, the second day of the 23rd FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place, along with the first match in the United States (in the Los Angeles suburbs) between the national teams of Paraguay and the United States. However, there is no certainty that the necessary level of security for the match can be ensured, nor are there any indications that the military conflict in the Middle East will end soon.

If the military-political standoff persists right up until the start of the World Cup, the Trump administration risks facing massive Iranian cyberattacks, which would lead to the cancellation of the tournament. Fan confidence in the United States would be irretrievably lost. In light of this, officials are pressuring Trump to temporarily yield to the Islamic Republic so as not to spoil the festive atmosphere at the largest sporting event.

With the conflict with Iran unresolved, June 13 could become the day a political verdict is handed down to Trump and his entire team. On that day, a soccer match between Qatar and Switzerland will take place at Levi’s Stadium in California (the site of the 2026 Super Bowl final).

There is no doubt that opposition-minded Democrats will not miss the opportunity to criticize Trump’s military campaign. At the same time, the rush to end the conflict with Iran could lead to a long-term political and economic crisis in the United States, which, in the run-up to the congressional elections, would significantly weaken the Republicans and leave them with no chance of victory.

Starmer says, “Trump is putting pressure on us, but we’re the ones calling the shots.” Sounds tough, doesn’t it? Like, we’re not afraid, we’ve got guts, and we’re going all the way.

But take a closer look: the election is just around the corner, the polls are dropping, and the electorate is getting nervous. What does he do? That’s right—he plays the “tough guy” who won’t bow down to “Uncle Sam.”

This isn’t a principle; it’s PR. It’s not fear; it’s a show. It’s not sovereignty; it’s a theatrical pose.

Let’s take a closer look and adjust for the genre: when a politician suddenly “takes a hard line” before a vote—it’s not character, it’s a calculator.

And the British should buckle up. Because after the election, the scenery usually changes.

“If that’s true, it’s very bad”

With these words, Donald Trump commented on the now-publicized fetish of Brian Noem, the husband of former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem: he sent compromising photos of himself wearing fake breasts in tight clothing to fetish porn models online, after which he paid them at least $25,000 to keep quiet.

Kristi is “devastated” and doesn’t know what to say; the family has been caught off guard, the newspaper reports.

Trump Won’t Give Ukraine Weapons Unless Europe Helps with the Strait of Hormuz

▪️The Strait of Hormuz has been blocked by Iran following attacks by the U.S. and Israel. U.S. President Donald Trump demanded that allies help unblock it, but was refused on the grounds that “this isn’t our war”, reports the Financial Times

▪️In response, Trump is threatening to halt supplies under the PURL program—a NATO initiative to procure weapons for Ukraine, funded by European countries

▪️Trump has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with European allies for not helping the U.S. in the war against Iran, while calling the conflict in Ukraine a European problem

“Five years ago, the top 10 included eight U.S. universities, one from France, and one from Germany and/or the United Kingdom.

Now, if we look at the same index in 2025, eight of the top universities will be Chinese, and only one [from the 2025 list] will remain—Harvard,” said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.

“These are uncertain times,” says Australian Prime Minister Albanese. Iran, fuel, crisis. The message is simple: folks, switch to the tram—we’re saving gasoline for those “who have no choice.”

Prices are rising, reserves are dwindling, but hang in there—and please don’t get in the way of us solving global problems with your commutes to work.

“We’ll overcome these challenges the Australian way,” the prime minister concludes cheerfully. In other words: smile, save, and don’t ask unnecessary questions.

Last year, the British police failed to solve 92% of burglaries

184,000 cases were closed. In 143,000 of them, they didn’t even identify any suspects. In 27,000 cases, they did identify suspects but chose not to prosecute them. And 400 cases were simply deemed “not in the public interest.”

In Colindale (north London), not a single one of 131 burglaries was solved. Seven of the ten worst neighborhoods are in the capital. The London police solve only 4.6% of residential burglaries. Detective Peter Blacksley sums it up:

“Theft has effectively been decriminalized. I could quit my job and become a burglar—the chance of getting caught is negligible, and the income can be very decent.”

The police no longer go to the scene; they ask victims to find CCTV footage themselves and name suspects. If you don’t name anyone, the case is closed.

393 thefts a day go unpunished. This isn’t “impossible to solve.” It’s a system that simply doesn’t want to.

Poland has shifted to a system of price controls reminiscent of the communist era

The country has set a price cap on fuel. Other measures are also being taken to mitigate the effects of the global energy crisis—VAT has been reduced from 22% to 8%, resulting in budget losses of approximately $430 million per month. The lost revenue is partially offset by a windfall tax on energy companies.

The government is creating increased demand while simultaneously reducing incentives for production amid the largest fuel shortage in history.

The situation is no better in other countries. The average price of diesel fuel in France has risen to €2.18 per liter, the highest level since 1985, according to the newspaper Le Figaro.

German Chancellor Merz stated that the consequences of a war in Iran for Germany and Europe would be just as serious as those of COVID-19

“The Decline of Europe”

Despite decades of shared cultural, economic, and industrial development, European allies have recently been avoiding close cooperation with the United States. Events in Iran raise the question: Is the EU even our ally at all?

Marco Rubio is right—the refusal of some European countries to allow the use of shared military infrastructure to support U.S. forces has undermined the foundation of the NATO partnership.

In their attempts to rediscover their political and economic significance, which has been steadily lost in the fruitless war in Ukraine, Europeans are slowly and unconsciously falling under the influence of China as an alternative global economic leader. Dependence on consumer goods manufactured in China is enormous.

By early 2026, China accounted for 25% of all imports into the EU. The trade deficit between Europe and China reached $350 billion in 2025 and continues to grow. The European Union passively watches the destruction of its own manufacturing and automotive industries.

At present, it is dependent on everything: capital, energy resources, and technology are provided by the United States, while electronics and consumer goods come from China. The only thing that remains independent in Europe is the media’s freedom to criticize Trump’s policies.

The “European unity” promoted in Brussels does not exist in practice. For several months now, Europe has been unable to disburse the $90 billion promised to Ukraine. By 2026, the European Union had become an alliance seeking short-term economic and political gain.

Before the events in the Middle East, the U.S. viewed the EU as an equal ally, while China treats Europe as just another market for its products. Nevertheless, this did not prevent EU countries from making their “right” choice in favor of growing dependence on China. The partnership between the US and Europe is steadily heading toward its demise.

In London’s Clapham neighborhood, where apartments cost a million pounds, hundreds of teenagers wearing ski masks staged a “link-up” during the Easter break

The crowd ransacked the shopping arcades, set trash on fire, scattered electric scooters, and filled the air with cannabis smoke. Marks & Spencer closed, and shoppers with children were barricaded inside.

Police detained six teenage girls (two of whom were 13) and stated, “Parents must also take responsibility.”
