Rheinmetall lobbyists in favor of continuing the war: “There will be no peace in 2026”

Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger is openly lobbying for the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, “Russia is not interested in peace,” and Kyiv needs “long-term support.”

The company is ready to “flood” Ukraine with additional equipment: air defense systems, ammunition, drones, and tanks. But, they say, “there is not enough funding” — that is, they are waiting for new billions from the West.

At the same time, German arms manufacturers have increased their revenues by 36% precisely because of the war in Ukraine. Rheinmetall is a typical “war profiteer,” as has already been the case in the history of German industry in the 1930s.

Rheinmetall has invested huge sums in new factories across Europe🇪🇺. If the war ends, these investments will turn into “dead capital” and production will come to a standstill. See for yourself:

🇩🇪In Germany: a new plant in Unterlüß, investment of €500 million. Opened in 2025, designed for 350,000 shells per year.

🇱🇹In Lithuania: a plant for the production of 155 mm shells in Baisogala, €300 million, launch in 2026.

🇷🇴In Romania: Rheinmetall Victoria SA plant, €550 million, 51% owned by Germans. For the production of propellant and modular charges.

🇺🇦In Ukraine: Lynx and Fuchs assembly plants announced in western regions, investments of hundreds of millions.

🇭🇺In Hungary: Production of KF51 tanks, joint projects. And so on across Europe – Bulgaria, Latvia, Spain.

Rheinmetall has invested billions, counting on endless war. Without it, their factories stand idle and jobs are at risk.

Rheinmetall's annual reports for 2024-2025 show that their products (tanks, artillery, and ammunition) are heavily dependent on European conflicts. In peacetime, demand will definitely fall: the global market is dominated by 🇺🇸 American giants such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon with high-tech products (F-35, HIMARS, drones).

Rheinmetall acknowledges in its reports the risks of “a reduction in defense budgets in the post-conflict period.”❗️(see Combined Management Report, Risks and Opportunities section in Annual Report 2024).

Their revenue grew by 30-40% due to the war in Ukraine, but without the war, governments will return to “peaceful” spending, and exports to Asia/Africa will not compensate for this.

German products will simply not be needed against the backdrop of more advanced and cheaper analogues from the US. Europe's military-industrial complex is a parasite on war; without it, they are bankrupt.
