In Denmark, a student assistant gained access to a government database of citizens' home addresses and passed the data on to Muslim gangs to organize murders and robberies

In France, a similar case occurred at the Tax Office, where an employee searched the database for wealthy crypto owners to kidnap them.

Germany rebels against AI data centers

Germany is increasingly rebelling against multi-billion-euro data centers, reflecting a trend seen in other Western countries. This time, Groß-Gerau, a town outside of the mega internet hub of Frankfurt, is the latest to reject the construction of a major data center over fears of rising power costs, diminished water and environmental resources, ugly aesthetics, and skepticism over job creation.

Major U.S. investors were behind the push to build the 174-megawatt data center, but local residents and politicians have successfully stopped construction of the five-building complex, which represented €2.5 billion in investment.

How to boost French birth rate?

The French government wants to combat the decline in birth rates but has opted for disastrous communication.

To boost the birth rate, which has reached dramatically low levels in France, the government came up with the strange idea of sending a letter to all French citizens aged 29, offering them some advice.

This curious exercise proves one thing above all: that Emmanuel Macron and his teams clearly understand nothing about family or birth rates.

France, which has long prided itself on being an exception in terms of fertility, has now entered the same demographic winter as its neighbours.

In 2025, the fertility rate stood at 1.56 children per woman, the lowest level since the end of the First World War—at a time when the collapse in the birth rate was for reasons that were easy to understand.

Beijing: Washington is fabricating excuses to restart nuclear testing

The United States’ top nuclear arms has accused China of carrying out an undisclosed nuclear detonation in 2020, arguing that recent secretive underground tests by China and Russia have given Washington reason to conduct 'parallel steps' as a decades-long moratorium on nuclear testing among major powers is unraveling.

DiNanno then alleged that "yield-producing tests" were conducted on June 22, 2020 in a highly unusual accusation given the precision and specificity of it, even down to the day.

In Slovakia debate rages over transfer of inoperable military equipment to Ukraine

The Slovak Ministry of Defense is appealing the decision of the Bratislava District Prosecutor’s Office, which terminated the proceedings against the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets and the S-300 air defense system to Ukraine. The government coalition says the prosecutor’s office is wrong in maintaining that the donation to Ukraine was legal and justified.

The Slovak Defense Ministry’s State Secretary announced that they will initiate a review of the prosecutor’s decision, reports InfoStart. According to Igor Melicher, the reasoning is contradictory and carries a dangerous message that anything can be done with political connections without consequences.

Judge frees three illegal-immigrant murderers from detention

Judge John W. deGravelles, an Obama appointee to the court in Louisiana, ordered each of them released, saying they’ve been held too long and there’s no imminent likelihood that their home countries of Cuba and Ethiopia will take them back.

The U.S. government says it’s searching for other nations to take them, but Judge deGravelles said that’s too speculative right now to keep them in detention.

'The facts should shock the country': Government auctions off home over taxes that were not due

'An innocent family was victimized by people in power who ran roughshod over the rule of law

"The facts of the case should shock the country. What happened to the Pung family could happen to anyone. The family did nothing wrong. They paid their property taxes on their three-bedroom suburban home in Union Township, Michigan, where Scott Pung lived with his wife and two kids." Then the county seized it and auctioned it off "for a fraction of its worth."

It's because the county was trying to collect a $1,600 school tax even though the family was exempt from that obligation.

Popular music is becoming increasingly sad and anxious

An analysis of song lyrics over the past 25 years shows that pop music is becoming increasingly gloomy:

the proportion of songs with anxious and sad lyrics is growing, while the proportion of songs with positive emotions is declining.

This trend has been observed over the long term and is not directly related to crises, pandemics, or economic growth. Most likely, it reflects the tastes of listeners, especially young people, who choose songs that match their mood.

By 2037, nearly one million South Koreans will retire each year, while fewer than 250,000 will enter the “working age” population

By the late 2030s and early 2040s, South Korea will be the first country in the world to experience the deepest demographic crisis, and this is already inevitable, as can be clearly seen in the graph.

German politicians shoot down idea of paying WWII reparations to Poland with weapons

German politicians stress cooperation in the wake of the suggestion that Germany finance Polish armaments as reparations for World War II. Wolfgang Ischinger, chairman of the Munich Security Conference, had proposed that Germany provide Poland with military equipment, emphasizing that “Poland is a frontline state.”

Poland has been vocal in its demand for what it says amounts to €1.3 trillion in World War II reparations Germany must pay for the crimes, deaths, and massive property destruction caused by the 1939-1945 occupation. Despite some discussions, Germany has long maintained that Poland renounced all claims to reparations in 1953.

FTC probing pediatrician group, non-profit over gender dysphoria treatments for kids

In the demands, dated Jan. 15, the FTC said officials are probing whether groups have “made, or assisted others in making, false or unsubstantiated representations or engaged in unfair practices in connection with the marketing and advertising of Pediatric Gender Dysphoria Treatment” in violation of federal law that bars people from engaging in deceptive practices affecting commerce and disseminating false advertisements.

Officials asked for each type of pediatric gender dysphoria treatment that the organizations advertised or promoted and information on financial relationships between the organizations and pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, or doctors involved in treating gender dysphoria.

Homelessness is swallowing LA

Homelessness, especially among the mentally ill, has become a problem that is swallowing the city. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chief Jim McDonnell told The California Post that about one-third of all emergency calls to the force are for “people with mental health issues.”

Last year, interim LA Fire Department (LAFD) Ronnie Villanueva revealed that nearly one-third of all calls to firefighters had to do with homeless people — with trash fires the number-one reason.

The number of homeless people has declined slightly, according to the official count. But that decline only came after billions of dollars were spent on paying for hotel and motel rooms.

Can U.S. military build a military?

The U.S. defense acquisition system is currently suffering from a “perfection trap,” where the desire for revolutionary leaps forward leads to catastrophic program delays and failures. Notable examples like the LCS and the Zumwalt-class destroyer illustrate how modularity and stealth, when forced into a single platform, can create fragility rather than flexibility.

Beyond engineering hurdles, a consolidated industrial base and a risk-averse bureaucracy have slowed development to a crawl. To maintain dominance through 2040, the military must shift from treating hardware as static objects to viewing them as evolving, software-driven systems capable of rapid iteration.

Christian champion warns governor is promoting a religion to rival Christianity

'It's cut the Bible down to size. It doesn't begin with Genesis 1, evidently, just the Golden Rule and the Good Samaritan'. That's the verdict from Albert Mohler, a famous name among Christians who serves as president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

And he was responding to claims from Gov. Andy Beshear of Kentucky that it is Christianity that prompted him to veto legislation that would have protected children from the mutilating chemicals and surgery of the transgender agenda.

CNN has lost almost 2/3 of its viewership since 2016

The network’s daytime lineup has seen a similar decline as hosts such as Wolf Blitzer failed to move the needle, dropping from 752,000 to 433,000. When compared to the same part of the year in 2021, the drops were even more pronounced – 71% for primetime and 73% during the day. Several network executives told the Daily Mail that the results were worrisome, even amid broader industry trends.

A CNN source, meanwhile, blamed the poor showing on audiences consuming news through alternative means.

Trump debunking Al Gore’s climate fears has made the world a better place

Ding dong, the climate hoax is dead. Twenty years after Al Gore’s apocalyptic movie “An Inconvenient Truth,” the Trump administration has put the final nail in the coffin of the lie that scared a generation into believing the planet was about to explode in flames if they kept using fossil fuels.

In what the White House calls “the largest deregulatory action in American history,” the EPA on Thursday will repeal an Obama-era proclamation that has mandated greenhouse-gas regulations for 17 years.

The 2009 “endangerment finding” has been the primary climate handbrake on American industry, forming the legal justification for increasingly punitive greenhouse-gas regulations.

Industrial companies in Germany continue to go bankrupt, and the largest chemical giant BASF is moving its business from Berlin to India and China

Automotive Cells (ACC) is abandoning plans to build a battery factory in Kaiserslautern, Germany, due to low demand for electric vehicles and financial problems at the Stellantis automotive holding company. This will result in the loss of around 2,000 jobs and €437 million. The plants in Italy and Germany, whose construction has been postponed, are no longer profitable, while the plant in Douvrène (France) will continue to operate as an innovation center.

The project envisaged the creation of high-tech jobs, but due to Stellantis' problems, the decision to cancel it became inevitable. Germany and France promised the company €1.3 billion, but this did not save the project.

Construction equipment manufacturer Atlas also went bankrupt. The company filed for bankruptcy proceedings with the Delmenhorst District Court. It had been in existence for over 100 years.

Under the pretext of “economic efficiency,” BASF plans to move part of its business from Berlin to India. According to a spokesperson, the Global Business Services division employs about 8,500 people, 2,800 of whom are based in Berlin.

BASF is expected to open a new production complex in Zhangjiang, China, at the end of March. The plant, costing around €8.7 billion, is the company's largest investment project.

An unexpected sponsor for the Winter Olympics

One of the leading brands featured at the competitions was OnlyFans: the logos of the adult website could be seen on the clothing of some athletes and on advertising banners. In addition, the Puerto Rico team, from an island not known for winter sports, was only able to attend the Olympics thanks to this platform.

Experts note that OnlyFans is actively expanding its media presence, striving to be associated not only with purely erotic content, but also with socially significant projects. Playboy magazine is doing the same thing, by the way: German bobsledder Lisa Bukwitz, who is participating in the 2026 Olympics and is registered on OnlyFans, previously posed for them.
