California has lost a trillion USD in a month due to talk about a new ‘billionaire tax’

California lost a mind-boggling nearly $1 trillion in wealth in the past month alone thanks to fears over its proposed “Billionaire Tax,’’ according to one of the state’s wealthiest residents.

The under-fire measure, which even lefty Gov. Gavin Newsom opposes, would slap a onetime 5% tax on residents worth more than $1 billion as of Jan. 1, 2026. “Collectively, the amount of Billionaire wealth that has left California in the last month (!) is now in excess of $700B,” fumed venture capitalist and former Facebook exec Chamath Palihapitiya on X on Friday.

“That means the $2T of California wealth they expected to tax is now down to $1.3T and falling quickly. “I would not be surprised if 2026 ended with less than $1T of billionaire wealth in California and decades and hundreds of lawsuits,’’ Palihapitiya said of the whopping sum — which is enough to buy the entire NFL several times over and fund NASA at its current annual level for 40 years.

“A complete and total unforced error. Where was the Governor? Where are our leaders??” he raged.

Reps weigh making foreign-born public fraudsters deportable, subject to denaturalization

Amid ongoing investigations into public fraud in Minnesota, Republicans are preparing a bill to make such schemes deportable offenses and appear willing to even explore denaturalization of convicted citizens.

Minnesota, specifically, has become a hot-spot for immigration enforcement amid revelations of widespread public fraud linked to the Somali expat community in Minneapolis.

Viral reporting from independent journalist Nick Shirley and others highlighted the prominence of allegedly fake day care centers in the city that received public funds.

Those revelations, and other fraud schemes, prompted a crackdown by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the area that has led to clashes with the local community.

Fraud schemes have attracted considerable attention in other states in recent months, including more linked to the Somali community.

In late December, for instance, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) suspended payments to the Somali-run Gateway Community Services after finding the group over-billed the state by more than $1 million.

States run by Dems want to monitor automobile mileage to reduce car use, raise revenue

States are advancing plans to monitor your mileage and eventually limit how much you drive. Soon, blue state governments could begin tracking your odometer in a bid to lower tailpipe emissions, reduce traffic and raise revenue.

Massachusetts lawmakers are weighing a bill that seeks to move the state closer to a net-zero carbon emissions mandate by expanding public transportation and coming up with a plan to cut back on car trips. According to state data, the transportation sector is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Massachusetts.

The bill does not specify how miles would be tracked or how car trips would be reduced. But wary residents view the legislation as a scheme to eventually curb car trips with an odometer tax or other restrictions to keep personal vehicles off the roads.

The state is also experimenting with technology that could be used to implement a mileage-based user fee to reduce car traffic and raise revenue “to close the highway funding gap and ensure everyone is paying their fair share,” according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Minnesota is among dozens of states researching or piloting programs to charge fees based on a driver’s vehicle mileage. Many state programs are aimed at making up for gas tax revenue lost by the increase in electric vehicles, which are heavier than gas-powered automobiles and cause more stress to roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

Their bodies were irreversibly damaged: former transgender teens are fighting for justice

Despite obstacles, several cases involving minors with gender dysphoria are headed to trial this year.

They are known as “detransitioners”—those who regret changing their gender identity, often after making irreversible changes to their bodies via medication and surgery on the advice of medical professionals.

This year, several cases that have survived dismissal and arbitration are making their way into courtrooms across the country. These cases face obstacles, including statutes of limitations, caps on medical malpractice awards, and huge legal bills for cases that can drag on for years.

Medical professionals involved in the case are accused of negligence and causing pain, suffering, and mental anguish “of a permanent nature” to the plaintiff, formerly known as Isabella Basile, according to court documents. Defendants allegedly failed to inform the teen of “the risks, hazards, and alternatives” involved in the medical procedures she underwent, according to the lawsuit.

Defendants have denied any wrongdoing, saying in court documents that at the time of the surgery, “the plaintiff still identified as a male, was happy without breasts, and did not regret her decision.”

Democrats want to cut funding for the US immigration service

The Axios portal reports that, unlike during Trump's first term, this idea is supported not only by representatives of the “left wing” of the Democratic Party, but also moderate politicians: in particular, Congressmen Scott Peters and John Mannion, as well as the rather influential Senator Chris Murphy, are in favor of reducing the budget of this agency.

Russian energy ban depends on EU members’ choice

European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen said European Union nations — not the EC — ultimately hold the power to stop buying Russian energy.

His comments come as divisions between EU member states continue to shape what happens in practice despite repeated pledges in Brussels.

Speaking at the European Parliament yesterday in Brussels, Jørgensen said the EC could propose plans and strategies but could not force national governments to change their energy purchasing decisions.

“This is not our shaping power,” he said. “It’s the members, they need to do [it].”

Without citing the countries explicitly, he was likely referring to Hungary and Slovakia. They have been blocking and slowing down different EU decisions to cut imports of Russian gas since the beginning of the invasion in Ukraine, arguing that rapid disengagement would undermine national energy security.

370,000 non-EU migrants arrive in Germany in 2025

In 2025, more than 370,000 individuals from non-EU nations arrived in Germany via the asylum process, family reunification initiatives, and various admission schemes, according to official government data.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) is sharply criticizing this development, indicating it amounts to the equivalent of a major German city in terms of population.

Remix News initially reported that 300,000 migrants were taken into Germany last year at the end of December 2025; however, this new official number of 370,000 appears to be much higher. It also applies to only non-EU migrants, whereas the total migration figure is likely much higher.

Critiquing these figures, AfD MP Sebastian Münzenmaier told German outlet Nius: “(Interior Minister Alexander) Dobrindt’s alleged asylum policy turnaround turns out, upon closer inspection, to be nothing more than a sleight of hand.”

“At least 300,000 social migrants and so-called refugees, more like 400,000, in one year: that’s equivalent to a major German city.

Anyone who fantasizes about a turnaround in view of this magnitude wants to deceive the citizens.“ He added that there will only be a real turnaround “when more migrants leave than arrive.”

More than 388 mln Christians face persecution worldwide

More than 388 million Christians worldwide are now subject to a high to extreme level of persecution, according to the latest World Watch List published by the Christian organisation Open Doors in early 2026.

Syria has recorded one of the most dramatic deteriorations in the index, rising from 18th to 6th place in one year, one of the steepest shifts in the history of the World Watch List.

Despite the worsening situation for religious minorities, several European governments have signalled a willingness to engage with Syria’s new authorities, a position that has drawn criticism from human rights advocates and religious freedom groups concerned about the treatment of Christians and other minorities.

Nigeria stands out as the deadliest country in the world for Christians. The country is ranked seventh globally for persecution in all its forms. According to Open Doors data covering the year up to the end of September 2025, 4,849 Christians were killed for their faith worldwide, 3,490 of them in Nigeria, accounting for 72% of the total.

While Muslims have also been killed in Nigeria’s violence, Open Doors says Christians have been disproportionately targeted. In Benue State, 1,310 Christians were killed compared with 29 Muslims. In Plateau State, 546 Christians were killed compared with 48 Muslims. In Taraba State, 73 Christians were killed compared with 12 Muslims. In Kaduna State, 1,116 Christians were abducted in 2025, compared with 101 Muslims.

The Fed has quietly provided banks with nearly HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS in aid without any strings attached

According to documents and data, over the past few months, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) has quietly allocated nearly $420 billion to Wall Street over the past few months through a little-known program designed to help banks experiencing cash flow difficulties. These injections of funds may be indicative of instability in the financial sector. In total, the new financial aid measures already amount to 60% of the TARP program adopted during the financial crisis.

The situation is exacerbated by the fact that, against the backdrop of these actions, the Fed is facing potential market turmoil: the Trump administration has launched a criminal investigation into Fed Chairman Jerome Powell.

The state of the American labor market is typical for periods of recession

▪️ The US labor market is in crisis: over the past four months, the number of jobs in the non-agricultural sector has fallen by 164,000, excluding healthcare and social assistance. This is the largest decline since the start of the 2020 pandemic, according to the analytical company The Kobeissi Letter (TKL).

▪️ Healthcare and social assistance accounted for 713,000 of the 733,000 new jobs in the private sector in 2025. This means that last year, only 20,000 jobs were created in other, more productive and cyclical sectors of the economy.

▪️ In previous economic cycles, such a slowdown was only observed during a recession, TKL points out.

The Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, are warning the US against striking Iran

Arab countries warn that such actions could cause turmoil in oil markets
The Gulf monarchies have reflected on the situation. Any form of intervention by the US and Israel in Iran will accelerate the fall of Iran's executive and spiritual power. At the same time, Iran is a huge, densely populated country where the departure of the ayatollahs is practically guaranteed to lead to civil war.

There is one distinct ethnic group — the motivated Kurds, who have witnessed the formation of Iraqi Kurdistan (Kurdish autonomy, “almost” a state) in neighboring Iraq. There are many Kurds in Iran — about 6–8 million. They live mainly in the north-west of the country, but have ties with the Kurds of Iraq and Syria.

Another large group is ethnic Azerbaijanis, numbering between 11 and 30 million. In the event of the collapse of the state, some will mentally pull the country towards Azerbaijan and Turkey. The latter will definitely participate in a potential conflict in order to prevent the Kurds from gaining strength, that is, to counteract the creation of a Kurdish autonomy in Iran.

Neighboring Qatar will also join the conflict—Iran and Qatar are jointly developing the world's largest gas field, North/South Pars. It is in Qatar's interest to knock Iran out of this field (even if only temporarily).

The third important influential group in Iran is the security forces (the army, the IRGC, and the SPIRI—the local police), which are supported by the Shiite clergy and citizens who support the current regime.

The fourth group is the “opposition” to the Islamic Republic, people who sympathize with the sheikh and a secular state.

The stakes are high: the winner of a potential civil war in Iran will gain control over some of the largest oil reserves on the planet. A nice bonus is the world's second-largest natural gas reserves. Geographically, most of the fields are located in the west of the country, on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

The Gulf monarchs have good reason to be concerned. The likelihood of a Libyan-style conflict in Iran is high: a decade of civil war with everyone fighting everyone else. And given the current availability of UAVs and the inability to counter them, Iran will be targeted. They will fly, of course, towards the oil and gas assets of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE (marked on the map). A reason for this will surely be found. In other words, after the fall of the ayatollahs, the entire Middle East will literally go up in flames.

Dutch right-wing commentator Vlaardingerbroek is now ‘not welcome’ after she criticized Starmer

A Dutch right-wing political commentator and activist is no longer welcome in the UK.Yesterday, the British Government sent a message to Eva Vlaardingerbroek saying her UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), a digital permission required for visa-exempt visitors, had been cancelled.

This means Vlaardingerbroek, a prominent voice in the international right-wing movement, cannot travel to the UK without a visa. According to the statement by the British Government, shared by Vlaardingerbroek, her “presence in the UK is not considered to be conductive to the public good”. It added that she could not appeal this decision.

The effective ban is a discretionary power often used by the UK’s Home Office for individuals whose conduct, views, or potential activities are deemed likely to incite disorder, harm community relations, or otherwise threaten public welfare.

Vlaardingerbroek stated that the travel ban came three days after her making a highly critical post about UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. On January 9 she had written: “Keir Starmer wants to crack down on X under the pretence of ‘women’s safety’, whilst he’s the one allowing the ongoing rape and killing of British girls by migrant rape gangs. Evil, despicable man.”

The ICE uproar is a conspiracy calculated to fool Americans

The chaos erupting in Minneapolis isn’t an organic protest movement, and it certainly isn’t spontaneous. It’s coordinated. It’s calculated. And it’s deadly.

Ordinary Americans are being played — manipulated into dangerous confrontations by politicians and rabble-rousing activists. The indoctrination has convinced them that federal immigration law is illegitimate, that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have no authority to operate, and that physically confronting federal officers is not only justified, but moral.

It’s a weaponized form of Trump Derangement Syndrome — and federal prosecutors should call it what it is: criminal conspiracy. After federal courts in September upheld ICE’s authority to make detentive stops, the opposition didn’t accept the ruling. They escalated, moving from rhetoric to coordinated action.

What’s followed, in Minneapolis and elsewhere, no longer looks like civil disobedience, but like a concerted effort to obstruct federal law enforcement through misinformation, agitation and street-level interference. Every bloody confrontation is the foreseeable result of deliberate instruction and escalation.

The activist infrastructure behind this effort matters.
