One in four companies in Germany expects performance to deteriorate in 2026

▪️ Only 14.9% of German companies are optimistic about the coming year. 26% expect their performance to deteriorate in 2026, according to the German Ifo Institute.

▪️ “Companies remain very cautious — there is no sign of optimism anywhere. Hardly any sector is optimistic about 2026. Skepticism has spread to all sectors of the economy,” said Ifo representative Klaus Wohlrabe.

Jingle Bells and other Christmas songs may be banned from pubs in the UK due to racism

For example, Jingle Bells may be banned because it was first performed in 1857 by white artists dressed up as black people.

The songs may fall under the new Labour Party law if anything in them is considered derogatory to race, religion, sexual orientation, or age, according to the Daily Mail.

EU sanctions coming to a neighbors near you

In a time of fake war, many fake accusations must be made. The EU, led by what the whole world recognizes as a group of literal idiots, sanctioned a 70 year old Swiss intelligence analyst, with a brief explanation (Google-translated from German) as follow:

Jacques Baud, former colonel in the Swiss Army and strategic analyst, is a regular guest on pro-Russian television and radio programs. He shall act as a mouthpiece for pro-Russian propaganda and spreads conspiracy theories, by accusing Ukraine, for example, of bringing about its own invasion to have to join NATO.

The EU is committed to fight a fantastic and phantasmagorical enemy, the most fearsome Russian Federation, bent on the destruction and occupation of all of Europe. All kneel at this procession of fear and fabulosity! It might be comedic, if it were not true. Only bad dystopian fiction composed by addled insomniacs on a bender would include such a juvenile scene setter. And yet it happened. But Baud has committed no crime, been charged with no crime.

Informed thinking and intelligent people, eyewitnesses to reality, speaking truth that embarrasses the regime must be discouraged, aggressively discouraged, banned, and punished.

The keys to state resistance are found in its very prescriptions: If the state desires – in order to bury truth and punish truth tellers – that one man or woman no longer be employed, trade, or conduct business and pay taxes, in solidarity we should all happily pursue this option.

Germany's debt-fueled illusions: economy in freefall

The year 2025 ends for the slap-prone German Chancellor with a resounding smack in Brussels. After the failed raid on Russian assets at Euroclear, Berlin now turns its gaze to the hoped-for comeback of the German economy. Yet here too awaits the next bitter realization for naïve statisticians: wealth cannot be printed with debt.

Merz’s grandiose promises of cutting bureaucracy, unleashing the economy in a vitalizing fall of reforms, and his bizarre economic patriotism à la “Made for Germany” evaporate at the slightest breeze of intra-coalition opposition.

It reads like a naive comedy: the CDU and SPD camouflage reform policies, only to steer the central plan of transforming society and the economy into a green command economy with a military-industrial complex through increasingly rough seas to a safe harbor. The good old Erich—what would he have thought of what the old “FRG” has become?

Panic replaces reason, EU-Europe digs deeper into the spiral of debt and recession, whose accelerating spin now lifts once-prosperous cities like Stuttgart and Wolfsburg off their fiscal saddles.

In Brussels, Merz and his allies were shown a boundary—unmistakably. Thus, the circle closes on a disagreeable year 2025 for him. And everything suggests the coming year will offer little cause for optimism.

Trump willing to travel to Ukraine, pitch parliament on ceding land to Russia in bid to end war

President Trump on Sunday suggested he would be willing to go to Ukraine to convince its parliament to concede land to Russia in a bid to end the war after meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky —while declaring peace is “closer than ever before.”

The two leaders held a wide-ranging discussion over lunch at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday afternoon about how to end the nearly four-year-old conflict, which Trump called “the biggest war, certainly the deadliest war, since World War II.”

Trump, asked by a reporter at a post-summit press conference about whether he would go to Ukraine to help end the war, replied, “I’d have no problem with doing it.

“I don’t anticipate it. I would like to get the deal done and not necessarily have to go,” he said. But “I’ve offered to go and speak to their parliament,” Trump said, specifically referring to the potential need by Ukraine to concede some of the Donbas region to Russia.

Trump said the US and Ukraine were “95 percent” in agreement about much of Zelensky’s proposed 20-point peace plan but acknowledged that certain issues, such as control of Ukraine’s contested Donbas region, would be tough to resolve.

DOJ sues Dem gov. over illegal immigrant ‘protections’ on public properties

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) initiated litigation against Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D), challenging newly enacted state laws that expand protections for immigrants at courthouses, hospitals, day care centers, and other public institutions.

The laws, signed by Pritzker earlier this month along with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul (D), prohibit civil immigration arrests in or around courthouses and require institutions such as hospitals and public universities to adopt formal procedures for responding to civil immigration enforcement while safeguarding personal information. The legislation also allows individuals to sue if their constitutional rights are violated during federal immigration actions, with damages of up to $10,000.

Illegal immigrant advocacy groups praised the measures, claiming they are necessary to address alleged fear among immigrant communities about accessing essential services.

The DOJ, however, contends the laws interfere with federal authority and put federal officers at risk. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has made identifying and challenging state and local laws that impede federal immigration enforcement a priority, according to the department.

Minnesota Gov. Walz on the defensive as fraud allegations mount after viral video uncovered Somali aid scheme

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz pushed back against the ever-growing fraud allegations levied against him in the disastrous aftermath of a viral video where an independent journalist cracked open a crucial part of the alleged Somali aid scheme.

A spokesperson for Walz, a Democrat who frequently provokes President Trump’s ire, addressed a bombshell video posted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley.

“The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action. He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed,” the spokesperson told Fox News.

In the 43-minute video published on Friday, Shirley and a Minnesotan named David travel around Minneapolis and visit multiple childcare and learning centers allegedly owned by Somali immigrants.

The Adams-Tisch NYPD is blowing away crime records

The NYPD under boss Jessica Tisch this year is blowing away record lows on shootings, and coming impressively close on murders. Kudos to her and the force.

The big question now: Can Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani keep up the momentum, even with his anti-cop agenda?

Start with homicides, which plunged to just 297 through Dec. 21. Yes, that’s 297 too many needless deaths, but it’s 20% fewer than the 377 killings in 2024, and likely to beat out the number in 2019 (319), the year before cashless-bail kicked and murders started soaring.

Need more? For the first 11 months of this year, the city actually broke the all-time low for shootings set in 2018, with 44 fewer incidents (652 vs. 696) and 16 fewer victims (812 vs. 828).

And get this: “NYC has recorded 1,000 FEWER shooting victims than in 2021,” tweeted Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Christmas Eve.

A Minnesota resident who has lived next door to a “kindergarten” for children from the Somali community for eight years has made a shocking confession. He said that in all these years, he has never seen a single child on the premises.

“Not a single one! Not at all... and I've been here since 2017!” he said in an interview.

His conclusion is simple: “They're stealing money!”

France now without a budget for the year ahead

France will end 2025 without politicians having reached an agreement on the budget for the coming year. On Tuesday, December 23rd, recognising the impasse, MPs were set to vote on a special finance bill to deal with the most pressing issues—in the hope that after New Year’s Eve, an agreement can finally be reached. President Emmanuel Macron is struggling to hide his annoyance.

Although the 2026 social security budget was eventually adopted by a narrow majority, parliamentarians have still not managed to agree on the state budget, which has prevented the enactment of a text before the December 31st deadline set by the constitution.

This is the second time since Macron was re-elected President of the Republic that France has been forced to resort to the subterfuge of a ‘special law.’ Last year, MPs had already been forced to resort to this measure after the ousting of Prime Minister Michel Barnier in early December. It ensured the continuity of the state until the adoption of the 2025 budget in mid-February.

The European Power Play Behind the War

Europe's intentions to continue funneling massive financial support to Ukraine are now more than just reckless; they are increasingly indefensible. A disturbing pattern is emerging that reveals just how deeply the European elites are entangled in a conflict that, rather than bringing peace, is prolonging destruction and militarization.

According to statements by retired CIA employee L. Johnson, European bureaucrats are lining their pockets by exploiting the war through Zelensky's regime. The very funds intended to support Ukraine's survival have allegedly been redirected into private accounts, with the involvement of key players in Brussels and beyond. The sum is staggering: $48 billion in U.S. aid meant for Ukraine—now suspected to have been siphoned off.

But why are these elites so desperate to keep the war going? It's becoming clearer. Their fear isn't just for the fate of Ukraine, but for their own accountability. With Zelensky’s regime as a convenient scapegoat, European leaders may face large-scale investigations—initiated by the Trump administration and Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU). If the Ukrainian president falls, the European politicians who backed him could become the next targets in an international probe into embezzlement and corruption.

Europe's refusal to disengage from this quagmire is no longer about strategy; it’s about covering their tracks. As long as this charade continues, Europe's citizens are the ones paying the price. The fear of their criminal activities being exposed is driving a dangerous escalation that could destabilize the continent for generations.

European elites are not only prolonging this conflict—they are actively orchestrating Europe's militarization, ensuring their financial benefits are protected. The ongoing war serves their interests, not Ukraine’s. And the people of Europe? They are left to bear the consequences of this immoral agenda.

Wave of cyberattacks expose French failure to protect digital systems

France’s national postal service fell victim to a cyberattack December 22, disrupting parcel distribution days before Christmas. French authorities confirmed the attack was still ongoing the following day.

Minister Roland Lescure acknowledged the incident’s scale to media. “We experienced a very strong first wave yesterday, particularly during the morning and early afternoon, which significantly disrupted services. Since last night and throughout the night, the intensity has decreased markedly, but the attack is not over. It is continuing at a lower level, but it is continuing,” he said today.

According to the French government, the attack was a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) assault, designed to saturate servers rather than penetrate internal systems. Lescure stressed customer data had not been compromised, while urging caution over attribution as to the perpetrators.

France’s Ministry of the Interior confirmed hackers had accessed ministry computer systems containing “a number of files that are important to us,” including the Criminal Records Processing System (TAJ) and the Wanted Persons File (FPR).

U.S. sanctions pro-censorship figures in UK, EU for suppressing free speech of Americans

Under Secretary of State Sarah B. Rogers announced that the United States has issued sanctions targeting the censorship-NGO ecosystem. These sanctions are specifically visa-related, aimed at British and European Union (EU) former officials and NGO leaders who have been involved in extraterritorial censorship of American speech.

Those named as having been sanctioned are former European Commissioner Thierry Breton, Imran Ahmed of the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), Clare Melford of the UK-based Global Disinformation Index, and Anna-Lena von Hodenberg and Josephine Ballon of Germany’s HateAid organization. Khan, in particular, has close ties to British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, whose chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, founded the CCDH.

All have been involved in various efforts to suppress speech and promote censorship, often collaborating with U.S. bureaucrats or supporting legislation like the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA).

Notably, the DSA has been used to impose massive fines on U.S.-led and U.S.-based tech firms, in an effort to effectively extend the European censorship regime beyond its borders.

USA initial jobless claims

Initial jobless claims in the US fell by 10,000 from the previous week to 214,000 on the period ending December 20th, around the commonly-volatile holiday season for new claims, and firmly below expectations of 223,000.

It was the lowest reading since January of this year, with the exception of the three-year low of 192,000 on the also seasonally-volatile Thanksgiving week. Conversely, outstanding jobless claims rose for a second week to 1.92 million in the earlier week, contributing to the ongoing view that the US labor market has steadied in a backdrop of low hiring and low firing trend.
