King Spa in Palisades Park, New Jersey, has updated its policies to allow guests to use facilities that align with the gender identity displayed on their government- or state-issued photo ID.

This change comes after a lawsuit filed by Alexandra Goebert, a biologically male transgender “woman” who alleged he was denied access to the female-only section of the spa despite his ID identifying him as a woman.

The lawsuit stemmed from an incident in 2022 when Goebert visited the spa and was initially assigned a male wristband. He was later granted access to the women’s locker room but was questioned by staff about his male anatomy and ultimately asked to leave after confirming he had not undergone so-called bottom surgery to remove his penis and testicles.

The spa offered him access to the female facilities if he wore a bathing suit, but he declined, according to court documents. As part of a confidential settlement reached in August 2025, King Spa implemented a policy change and provided additional training for its staff.

The updated policy explicitly states that clients may use sex-segregated areas corresponding to their gender identity, regardless of physical traits. It also emphasizes that clients uncomfortable with this arrangement may request private accommodations or forgo use of communal facilities.

Young people yearning for socialism and AI governance is a dangerous proposition

According to new polling conducted by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute, which included 1,496 likely voters aged 18 to 39, more than half of young Americans want a democratic socialist to win the White House in 2028.

There are many reasons why socialism appeals to young Americans.

First and foremost, young people are not being taught about the dark history of socialism. Second, they are misled into believing that socialism is superior to free-market capitalism.

Third, they are brainwashed into believing that collectivism is more righteous, fair, and just than personal freedom. Fourth, they feel that the American dream is dead and socialism is the solution to the cost-of-living crisis they face.

Nearly three-in-four young likely voters think the cost of housing is at a crisis level, and only 22% think they will be better off than their parents.

At this point in time, given the economic headwinds they face, coupled with their ignorance of socialism, it makes sense that an alarming portion of young Americans want socialism.

Ukraine Peace Deal Exposes Feckless Europe's Total Irrelevance

In the contention over the United States’ peace plan for Ukraine, the Europeans are in their accustomed role — carping from the sidelines. Not only can the once-great European powers no longer dictate the fate of far-flung parts of the world, they can’t even dictate the end of a war involving a European country whose fate they deem crucial to their own future.

We’re a long way from the British controlling about a quarter of the globe’s territory in the early 20th century; a long way from British and French diplomats, Mark Sykes and François Georges-Picot respectively, drawing the lines in 1916 to divide up the Ottoman Empire; a long way from Napoleon sitting with Tsar Alexander in Tilsit in 1807 and re-arranging the map of Europe.

Economically, the EU “regulatory superpower” has hobbled growth — over the last 30 years Western European labor productivity declined from 95% of the US level to 80% — while Europe’s commitment to “net zero” greenhouse emissions has driven insane energy priorities.

Years into the Ukraine war, Europe is still dependent on gas imports from Russia.

None of this means that the United States should go out of it way to give Europe the back of its hand.

The congressional Democrats were also not on the same page about whether the U.S. military was currently engaging in illegal activities, with some Democrats admitting that they were not sure if any current U.S. military actions were illegal, while others have previously said or are currently saying that U.S. troop deployments to American cities and U.S. strikes against Venezuelan drug-running boats are illegal.

Austrian Liberals ‘demote’ foreign policy speaker for favouring NATO membership

Austria’s Liberal Neos party said Veit Dengler, their speaker for foreign policy, is to assume new responsibilities. In future, the MP will be the party’s speaker for research, apprenticeship, start-ups and Austrians living abroad.

While the party presented the move as part of a wider re-shuffling of responsibilities, Dengler was in practice demoted. That was due to his support for Austria joining NATO, according to a report by local newspaper Die Presse.

They need the Russian bogeyman: Why Europe won’t let the war end

Trump set out the original peace plan, following lengthy bilateral negotiations between the White House and the Kremlin. We finally have the terms on which the war can end tomorrow morning. They can be fine-tuned, but not rejected in their essence.

So now, Kyiv and Brussels must make up their minds. Their reaction? Good-old sabotage in the form of panicky statements and a counter-plan. For some reason, they seem not all that keen on stopping the carnage.

Needless to say, Europe’s bigwigs could not care less about the US President’s desire for wrapping it up by Thanksgiving Day. On the contrary, they appear willing as ever to throw a wrench into the whole thing, buying time all while coaching Zelensky to believe that he could somehow end up better on EU backing alone.

But why on earth do Europeans want the conflict to drag on? Why not seize a rare opportunity to end a bloodbath that has cost our economies so dearly?

Two reasons, to begin with. Both ugly. Both political. First, they cannot admit they lied. For three years European voters were sold a fairytale: Russia is about to collapse, sanctions will break Putin, Ukraine is winning, every euro to Kyiv is an investment in democracy.

Second, and even more cynical: They need the war to go on because they have already wrecked the European economy and now require a permanent Russian threat to justify their attempt to restart its engines through rearmament. Cheap Russian gas is gone forever. German factories are closing. French and Italian industries are shrinking. Inflation is eating away wages. Farmers are on the streets.

Three Moroccans arrested for gang rape of Italian teen, dragged from her boyfriend’s car in Rome park

Rome police have arrested three Moroccan men accused of dragging an 18-year-old girl out of her boyfriend’s car and gang raping her while restraining her partner and forcing him to watch.

Investigators say the woman was attacked on the evening of Oct. 25 after a migrant gang surrounded the parked car where she and her 24-year-old boyfriend had stopped late at night in Tor Tre Teste park in the Italian capital.

Police believe the group may have consisted of up to five individuals and are still searching for two suspects.

According to police, the Italian couple had parked their vehicle in a secluded area of the park when the attackers broke the car windows and forced both occupants outside. Corriere della Sera reported that the men restrained the young man while one of the attackers raped the woman. Mobile phones from the couple were then stolen before the men fled on foot.

Polish gay couples seeking recognition for their same-sex marriages have rejoiced after yesterday’s EU court ruling, which states that member states must recognise marriages lawfully concluded in other EU countries. At the same time, there were warnings that EU judges could increase the likelihood of conflict between Brussels and conservative governments.

Judges in Luxembourg stated in a landmark decision that if two EU citizens marry in a country where same-sex marriage is legal, and later move to another member state, that state must recognise their marriage. This is true even if same-sex marriage is not allowed in that country.

Others however argued the EU was overstepping its mandate and interfering in an area that has traditionally been the preserve of national governments.
Polish legal think-tank Ordo Iuris argued that the EU cannot define what “marriage” or “spouse” means, as family law is a national competence.
