Ján Greguš has been interested in nature and the environment since childhood. He gained his first experience of growing plants and breeding animals in the village where he grew up. After moving to Prague and taking a break from growing for several years, he became more interested in the sustainability of human society, got involved in permaculture and joined The Zeitgeist Movement. Disgust with the way our society works led to the purchase of his first plot of land and the decision to live differently. To return to the way of life he had grown up with in the village, only this time in a different way. Rather than using traditional, mainstream farming practices, he is trying to farm his land sustainably, using the principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture. He writes a blog where he tries to describe what he is doing and why he is doing it. In the future he would like to devote himself full time to food production and building a sustainable community.
Tio started the TROM project back in 2011 to showcase how trade-based society gives rise to most of today's problems, and what we can do to radically move away from this global outdated practice. He has since made 2 huge documentaries, wrote over 30 books, and manage over 20 websites that are educational or alternative to the big corporate platforms.
His talk is titled "How To Grow a Saner Society. A Lifetime Adventure", which will cover billionaires, waste, TikTok videos, corruption and ads. Our society seems like a chaotic mess, but if you look closer you see a pattern. And that patter uncovers a force that pushes humans towards a destructive path. But once we understand this force, we can do something about it. We do not have to wait for a big change, a new form of technology, or new leaders. We can grow a different society from within the current one and he will show you how we do it. Maybe you want to join and ride the wave of change.

Tomorrow on Saturday (16/03/24) at 20:00 UTC we will be showing a documentary on NVC (Nonviolent Communication) by Marshall Rosenberg on our Discord server.
Marshall Rosenberg was an American psychologist, mediator, writer and teacher. Beginning in the early 1960s, he developed Nonviolent Communication, a process for promoting partnership and resolving conflict in people, relationships and society. He worked worldwide as a peacemaker and in 1984 founded the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international non-profit organisation, for which he served as Director of Educational Services.
During and after the screening of his master class, we will pause and review the documentary, hopefully with a better understanding of how to resolve difficulties in a non-violent manner.
