βͺοΈ During the night, the RF Armed Forces carried out strikes by "Geranium" kamikaze UAVs against targets in #Cherkassy and #Kiev regions, and the enemy's air defence systems were at work.
βͺοΈ From the southern flank of the #Bakhmut sector, there were reports of the AFU breaking through to #Kleshchiyevka and attempting to entrench the enemy on the northern outskirts of the settlement. The RF Armed Forces brought reserves into the battle and launched a counterattack to eliminate the breakthrough. Enemy stormtroopers were destroyed and up to 10 Ukrainian militants were taken prisoner. Heavy fighting is going on.

πΊπΈ US military satellites continue to survey some areas of the #Kherson region. As a rule, it is the "Topazs" that determine the importance of an object and the validity of striking it with Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles.

Footage of a destroyed residential building has appeared on the network, which may traditionally be the result of the ineffective work of the Ukrainian air defence forces, whose missiles have more than once been the cause of destruction on the ground.
βͺοΈ In the #Kherson direction, there are concrete signs that the AFU is preparing to force the #Dnieper. During the day, an enemy SRG operated near the settlement of #Peschanovka (8 km east of the #Antonovskiy Bridge), killing two elderly civilians. By nightfall there were reports of the capture of several houses on the outskirts of the settlement by small enemy forces. In addition, the AFU Marines occupied the village of #Poyma (6 kilometres east of #Antonovsky Bridge) by midnight. βͺοΈ A new element was the initial phase of the AFU's operation to force the #Dnieper. Having realised the well-known plan for the lightning occupation of some islands in the river floodplain, the enemy attempted to completely occupy #Peschanovka and #Podstepnoye and was forced out of them to the railway bridge, where it was destroyed by our artillery. However, the enemy managed to gain a foothold to the east, in #Krynki, where the fighting is still going on.
This time the tactic of "meat assault" was supplemented by the introduction of the special unit of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's GUR "Kraken" into the battle. The situation is characterised by the enemy's use of long range artillery and an increase in the number of FPV drones involved. EW is working on both sides, in some places jamming our radio communications as well. By now the situation has stabilised, but the AFU are not abandoning their plans to force the #Dnieper. Nevertheless, the deadlines are being postponed again: only yesterday more than 24 FABs from the UMPC were dropped on the heads of the fascists on its bank, and our anti-missile rocket launchers were working in the initial phase of the offensive.
βͺοΈ On the #Zaporozhye front, the AFU is not exhausted and is constantly attacking two directions: #Rabotino - #Novoprokopovka and #Verbovoye. Every day the RF Armed Forces destroy enemy armoured vehicles and personnel of the enemy. There were also counterattacks and daring raids of our paratroopers on enemy positions, prisoners were taken.

The true reasons are unknown, and various experts only trash old theses about the impossibility of destroying powerful structures built under the USSR. Reference to the large reserve of strength of the Soviet infrastructure is also used to explain to the population the reasons why the enemy still has electricity after a year of bombing the energy infrastructure.

β‘οΈπ·πΊπΊπ¦π What Results the AFU Achieved in Five Months of Offensiveβ‘οΈ
βοΈActive combat operations began on 4 June. At the moment, the AFU offensive has not stopped, but it is clear that it is losing momentum and is being maintained more to create visibility than to achieve real goals.
πΉWhat was the Offensive Plan?
βͺοΈ Initially, the AFU command planned to launch two dissecting strikes and reach two major cities, #Melitopol (and further to #Berdyansk) and #Mariupol on the coast of the Azov Sea.
βͺοΈ It was assumed that in the course of the offensive the territory with a total area of about 23,000 km2 would be captured, and in a number of directions, including the Crimean and Donetsk ones, the threat of encirclement of Russian troops would be created.
βͺοΈ In reality, a competently constructed line of defence and redesigned fire tactics prevented the AFU from succeeding.
βͺοΈ At the moment, the total area of territory in which the AFU has managed to advance is about 140 km2 in the #Zaporozhye direction and 116 km2 in the #SouthDonetsk direction, which is almost 90 times less than it was supposed to occupy during the offensive.
πΉWhat other Problems does the AFU have?
βͺοΈ In addition to problems with the failure to fulfil the offensive's main objectives, there are others. On 4 September, former Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that each day of combat operations costs Ukraine $100 million.
βͺοΈ Thus, 153 days (five months) of the offensive cost Kiev $15.3bn, but this money did not bring results. It is noteworthy that almost immediately the previously created myth about the superiority of the AFU, NATO tactics and technical superiority collapsed. Most of the expectations from the nature of the AFU actions simply did not realise.
βͺοΈ If the offensive had been successful, a number of #EU countries and the US would most likely have continued or increased the supply of military equipment. Now that almost all available conventional weapons options,- from small drones to man-portable air defence systems, have been tried, many have lost enthusiasm to continue deliveries.

πΉWhat losses did the AFU suffer?
βͺοΈ On 30 October, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu said that the AFU had lost more than 90,000 people killed and wounded during the offensive. These are 36 brigades of 2.5 thousand men each. No other army in the world has suffered such losses since World War II. The fleet of foreign equipment supplied to the AFU has been largely confused. The experience of using American M2 Bradley BMPs, M113/YPR-765 and M1126 Stryker APCs, Leopard 2A4/A5 (Strv 122)/A6 and Challenger 2 tanks, PzH-2000, M109 and AS-90 UASs has shown that Western combat vehicles cannot fundamentally change the situation on the battlefield, while their destruction and damage have an immediate and negative impact on the situation at the front.
πΉWhat's the Result?
βͺοΈ In addition, the failure of the AFU offensive has caused a split in the once united camp of #Ukraine's supporters. In the US, congressmen are asking questions about the prospects for aid to Kiev, while in #Europe some countries have already suspended or stopped military supplies to #Ukraine, among them #Slovakia and the main military donor in #Europe, #Poland.
βͺοΈ Also, five months of intense fighting have depleted the stockpiles of arms and ammunition not only in #Ukraine, but also in the #EU, from where they were forcibly transferred in the spring of 2023. The EU will be able to replenish reserves to the level of 2022 not earlier than 2025. In the short term, therefore, one cannot count on increased supplies, and without them, the prospects for any offensive actions in 2024 look very illusory.

In the area of #Peschanovka and #Poyma there are small infantry groups fighting. Our artillery is working, the enemy reports that our aviation has used up to 40 FABs over the past day. A new element is the regular use of night FPV drones by the AFU (probably equipped with a thermal imaging camera or NVR).
βͺοΈ On the #Zaporizhzhya front near #Verbovoye, the RF Armed Forces attacked enemy positions with barrel and rocket artillery, as well as armoured vehicles. The enemy struck at the leading edge of our defence and with Storm Shadow missiles. In the deep rear of the #Zaporozhye region (the town of #Berdyansk). Frontline officers note a decrease in the intensity of AFU artillery fire and the number of enemy meat assaults.
βͺοΈ In the #Avdeyevka sector to the north of the frontline the RF Armed Forces launched a massive strike from MLRS against the AFU in the #Novokalinovo settlement, in the direction of which the attacking actions are being carried out. βοΈ The weather has made its own adjustments to the course of hostilities and logistics on both sides of the front. There is a snowstorm in #Ukraine, broken boiler house pipes and a power transmission line support in the #Odessa region, roads are covered with snow, and by nightfall snow had covered #Kiev. 400 settlements in #Ukraine without light.
π In the #Crimea, half a million people were left without electricity in the evening, repair crews began to eliminate the consequences. On #Tarkhankut, and in general on the west coast, there were floods, a storm, coastal roads were flooded, hundreds of people were promptly evacuated, in #Yevpatoria, the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued people from the roofs of houses in difficult weather conditions. π― A series of powerful explosions sounded at night in #Kiev, and "Geraniums" also worked on enemy facilities in #Poltava, #Chernigov, #Zhitomir, #Khmelnitsky, #Nikolayev, #Kherson, #Odessa and #Rovno regions. Notable was the explosion of "Geranium" that hit the #Kiev apartment of the leading enemy βtelethonβ.
βͺοΈ In #Krynki, #Kherson region, heavy fighting continues on our side of the #Dnieper. Our troops are reducing the enemy's zone of control in the village, the enemy is trying to move reinforcements across the #Dnieper under the blows of our drones. There is mutual artillery shelling.
βͺοΈ On the #Zaporozhye front there were FAB-500 air strikes on the AFU accumulation in Malaya Tokmachka and #Novodanilovka. At #Verbovoye, our troops repelled in a shooting battle an attack by enemy assault groups attempting to advance after an artillery strike with cluster munitions.

π― The RFAF yesterday carried out strikes on enemy depots in #Odessa and #Ilyichevsk. πΈπ An explosion was also heard near the Odessa Airport. Secondary detonations were reported locally.
π₯In #Crimea, amid the missile threat, a bridge was closed several times during the night, air targets were reported shot down near #Berdyansk, #Zaporozhye region. At night air defence worked in #Rostov region, 10 UAVs of the AFU were shot down. In the #Krasnodar territory as a result of UAV attack in Primorsko-Akhtarsk there are casualties. 6 people were hospitalised, the work of the power substation supplying a significant part of the town was disrupted.
πΉIn the #Kharkov direction, the AFU took separate actions in the area of #Liptsy and #Tikhoye. Radio intercepts of enemy communications indicate a lack of trained personnel in the AFU units on this direction.
πΉFrom the eastern part of #ChasovYar (the Kanal Microdistrct), the remnants of AFU units were knocked out. The enemy is taking up defence west of the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal.
