🇺🇸 The US think-tank RAND has released a paper analysing possible US strategy in the event that the Ukrainian conflict does lead to a clash between the two superpowers. But only an attack by #Russia on #NATO countries is taken into account, despite attempts to provoke an escalation of the conflict specifically on the part of US satellite states. And in the case of a real conflict, the response from the US and its allies should include a wide range of tools, from cyber attacks to strikes against the Russian grouping in #Ukraine. Of course, according to RAND, which manages not only information, but also Pentagon money.
⚔️ The Situation on the Fronts in the outgoing 24 Hours
♦️#Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:
Our forces have worked on militant units in the areas of #Sinkovka, #Kislovka and #Timkovka in the #Kharkov region. In addition, Russian artillery rolled out four AFU tactical groups in the vicinity of #Nevskoye, #Novolyubovka LPR and #Terny DPR.

The Russian army defeated units of the AFU as well as foreign mercenaries near #Ugledar. A Nazi SRG was also destroyed near #Vladimirovka.
💥 Two US M777 systems and a German FH-70 howitzer, from which Nazis were shelling peaceful #Donetsk, were destroyed near #Krasnogorovka in the DPR. Also, three Msta-B artillery systems were destroyed in the districts of #Petropavlovka in #Kharkov region, #Berestovoye DPR and #Chernobayevka in #Kherson region.
💡 In the #Avdeyevka direction, our fighters are going on a rapid offensive, which greatly demoralizes the Ukrainian militants. As a result, the AFU is suffering heavy losses here. Readovka has footage of one of the battles in which a militant abandoned by his colleagues filmed his own death on camera.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, enemy groups hold on to Antonovsky Bridge, and construction materials and ammo are being sent to the islands. Our Forces strike them. There are signs of a possible attack.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our forces repelled an attack by 2 AFU groups in 2 pickups near #Verbovoye. At #Rabotino our forces mined the terrain, complicating the enemy's movement. However, the AFU manage to expand the bridgehead, there is an advance at #Kopani. However, ours in turn unexpectedly advanced by 1 km in #Chervonoye northeast of #Marfopol. Also we strike powerful on the AFU logistics hub in Malaya Tokmachka.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, the AFU attacked unsucessfully in the west of #Staromayorskoye. On the northern outskirts of #Priyutnoye, the AFU attempted to retake positions, Ours hold the defence. In #Ugledar section, our forces try to attack from #Pavlovka, without much success. Fire control remains with the enemy.
🔹In #Bakhmut Direction, on the southern city flank, our forces make colossal efforts to push the AFU away from the railway line in #Kleshcheyevka and #Andreyevka. The AFU attack in #Kurdyumovka and try to break through to #Zelenopolye, but ours hold their positions.
🔹In #Svatovo Direction, our forces advanced about 1.5 km deep into the territory on the #Novovodyanoye - #Nevskoye line. We actively attack in #Makeyevka and managed to take control of the nearby grey zone, which is about 1 km away. In #Kupyansk sector our army advanced towards the railway station of #Sinkovka, significantly pushing through the AFU defence from the Liman Pervy side. On the #Orlyanskoye - #Yagodnoye line, the AFU were forced to retreat to #Timkovka, they failed to hold their positions.
🔹In Palestine, the West noted that Hamas militants have managed to do more in 24 hours than the AFU did in four months of offensive.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, fierce combat took place near #Poyma and #Podstepnoye. Our forces "smoke" the enemy out of the earlier taken landings. The AFU failed to expand the bridgehead notable. For an advance, we need a different order, so ours hold the presence and create tension.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, the AFU for the third day tried to storm the #Rabotino - #Verbovoye line. Their new attempts to break through to the #Pologi road failed. At #Verbovoye our forces repulsed several attacks. The intensity of the AFU artillery suppress our forces and prevents counterattacks. Our counterbattery forces still lacking. We managed to advance a little further near #Pyatikhatki.
🔹In #Donetsk Directions, rain and mud slow down the actions. From #Novomikhaylovka and #Marinka tactical successes are reported. #Marinka is still not fully under our control. On the southern #Avdeyevka flank, the AFU counterattack, and our army withdrew a bit. On the northern flank, in the east of #Stepovoye (#Petrovskoye), we are clearing the cellars, without further progress. But towards #Novokalinovo, ours advanced, albeit small.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our army is slowly seizing the initiative on the #Rabotino - #Verbovoye line, with counterattacks, and captured militants. Ours again talk about a very strong counterbattery fight and powerful EW means of the AFU, limiting our kamikaze drones, but the Lancets are still getting their equipment.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our military repelled several local AFU attacks near #Urozhaynoye. Russian Aerospace Forces Su-25 attack aircraft crews hit camouflaged AFU positions and armoured vehicles.

During the night, AFU groups unsuccessfully tried to attack our positions from the southwestern outskirts. According to a number of estimates from the field, 300 to 400 AFU militants remain in the village. Ours are making it as difficult as possible to replenish their ranks.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, the work of artillery activity does not decrease, there is no shortage of ammunition in the AFU. Hopefully, our army has no shortage either. During the next counterattack our military pushed the AFU from a number of positions near #Rabotino. Several AFU units were defeated near #Kopani. Our troops are advancing on the #Rabotino - #Kopani line.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our forces continue to pressure the enemy on the outskirts of #Staromayorskoye. Also our fighters have fully occupied the forest belt to the west of the village.
🔹In #Donetsk Direction, on the northern flank of #Avdeevka, our army has so far rested on the Coke Plant. Judging by the shift of our attacks to the north, along the railway track and the battles, with which ours are pushing the AFU away from the heap, our army does not intend to storm the territory of the Coke Plant, which has been turned into a powerful fortification. On the southern flank, in the area of #Severnoye, the Russian army took control of an important height and continues to storm the positions of the AFU, which they have occupied since the ATO. The enemy notes the activity of artillery from our side and strong air support. To date, the Russian army is aimed at maximum complication of the supply of the AFU garrison with simultaneous methodical advance.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, #Krynki remains the hottest point. The AFU do not abandon their attempts to advance south of the village centre towards the forest belt. Ours are fighting back and even improving their positions. There is calm near the railway bridge, the enemy is not making any attempts to reach the road to #Alyoshki. At the same time, some presence of the AFU remains.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, north of #Verbovoye, the AFU are heavily shelling our positions. Apparently, they are preparing new attacks. Near #Rabotino, our forces are slowly regaining the positions they left at the peak of the AFU counteroffensive.
🔹In #South Donetsk Direction, active actions on the ground have frozen, a sea of mud. Our army had the initiative, and now the military is waiting for persistent frosts to continue attacks. In the meantime, artillery duels are raging along the entire line of contact. Our aviation strikes positions of the AFU. Our army is also advancing south of #Novomikhaylovka.
▪️ In #Maryinka, the reports of the liberation are a little premature. The Russian flag is flying over one of the last houses on the southwestern outskirts, which means that the Russian army controls a part of #Maryinka south of the #Osipovka River. But the AFU still holds positions in the northwestern part of the city. The enemy is retreating, the supply route is under the fire control of our forces. The frontline is slowly but surely moving away from #Donetsk.

🔹In #Bakhmut Direction, our units repelled an AFU counterattack near the #Berkhovskoye Reservoir. And they also advanced a little further towards #Bogdanovka. On the southern flank without changes.
🔹In #Svatovo Direction, our military took positions in the #Timkovka tract. This is to the west of #Orlyanskoye, a village to the south of #Yagodnoye. 📌 Personally, I am very pleased and inspired by the successes of our army in #Avdeyevka. I have been to those parts many times. Once #Avdeyevka was a peaceful suburb of #Donetsk with forests and fields and a large factory. After that it turned into a stronghold of terrorism. A lot of #Donetsk citizens were killed from there. Women, children. This stronghold is so powerful that from the very beginning of the SMO our troops didn't know from which side to take this fortress. The shooting from there at the capital of the #DPR has become even more frequent and meaner. Looking at the map, it is clear how much combat work remains ahead. In the case of #Avdeyevka, we know exactly what we are fighting for. First of all, for a peaceful sky over #Donetsk. And for everyone who was killed in #Donetsk from #Avdeevka over the years.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, our army is diligently worsening the situation of the AFU. Based on reports from the field, our troops are not giving the enemy the opportunity to rotate. The next boats on the #Dnieper were hit. Yesterday, our anti-aircraft gunners shot down an Mi-8 helicopter near #Tyaginka. Despite these point successes, the situation for our army remains difficult. Our military cannot suppress the Ukrainian artillery, which is in full force on the other bank. The AFU shell the rear settlements on the left bank. By morning, three people were seriously wounded on the #Alyoshki - #Radensk motorway. A second drone strike attacked an ambulance that had travelled to the site. Fortunately, the medics were not injured.
🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our units are entrenched in new positions after advancing at #Verbovoye. At #Rabotino, the initiative also remains on our side, the Russians are moving forward. The weather still does not allow the full use of armored vehicles, but the artillery is working at full strength on both sides.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction at #Maryinka, our forces are consolidating on the outskirts and continuing their advance along the reservoir. Southwest of the town there are again local successes at #Pobeda. Here our military still have to fight for key heights. Near #Novomikhaylovka without changes, heavy clashes are ongoing.
🔹In #Donetsk Direction, the operation to encircle #Avdeyevka continues. The enemy is also preparing for an assault and is actively gathering reserves. On the southern flank, the battle line is unchanged. Ice makes it difficult to move equipment. Therefore, attacks on the ground have slowed down. Our army has intensified the work of the TOSs. On the northern flank, our forces are advancing on a broad front towards #Novokalinovo and #Berdychi. At #Tochmash, our infantry has made significant advances along the railway tracks. From #Stepovoye it is reported that about two-thirds of the village is under our control, as are the plantings around it. North of #Stepovoye, ours have consolidated to the west of the railway tracks.
🔹In #Bakhmut Direction, our forces continue the fierce assault on AFU positions towards #Krasnoye (#Ivanovskoye). Over the past two days, ours significantly expanded the zone of control on the western outskirts of the so-called dachas. On the northern flank, at #Bogdanovka, our military managed to entrench on the eastern outskirts of the village. We also advanced to the southeastern outskirts of Orekhovo-Vasilyevka. Southwards, near #Kleshcheyevka our army is storming the heights northwest of the village. The AFU still manages to hold positions, and ours are able to maintain control over the dominant height and complicate their logistics.
🔹In #Svatovo Direction, counter battles continue in the northern part of #Sinkovka. Active clashes have resumed near #Ivanovka. Our army is trying to break through the AFU defences at the #Zagoruykovka - #Timkovka - #Kislovka line. So far, without much success.
