Woodward Academy, una escuela privada de Atlanta que cubre desde preescolar hasta secundaria, ha marcado un hito al convertirse en la primera escuela K-12 en EE.UU. en instalar marquesinas solares sobre instalaciones deportivas. El sistema, con 47,7 kW de potencia, se ubica en el complejo de sóftbol de la escuela y fue construido por Cherry Street Energy.

Este proyecto se suma a otras dos instalaciones solares en el campus, todas parte de un acuerdo PPA de 20 años con Cherry Street, que además se encargará de financiar, instalar, mantener y operar todo el sistema. En conjunto, cubrirán hasta un 25% del consumo energético anual de la escuela. | Energía
