Commencement of Second Semester Classes !!!
All students are hereby informed that the semester break will end on Yekatit 03, 2018 EC. Accordingly, all students are required to return to campus on or before this date.
Please note that Second Semester classes will officially commence on Yekatit 04, 2018 EC. Students are expected to complete all necessary registration and be fully prepared to attend classes starting from this date.
Therefore, students are strongly advised to return on time, complete their registration promptly, and make proper academic preparations to avoid missing important coursework.
Late arrival may result in missing classes and academic activities.
For further information, students are advised to contact their respective departments or the Registrar’s Office.

በክርስትና እምነት የጾም ወቅት ከግቢ ውጭ ምግብ ስለማስገባት የቀረበ ጥያቄና ቅሬታ

እንደሚታወቀው፣ በረመዳን ወቅት የነበረው የውጭ ምግብ ይዞ የመግባት እገዳ መላላት እና ሙስሊም ተማሪዎች ምግብ እንዲያስገቡ መፈቀዱ፣ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ለተማሪዎቹ የሚያሳየውን አሳቢነት የሚያሳይ ነበር። ይህም በእጅጉ ተሞጋሽ ነው።

ይሁን እንጂ፣ የረመዳን ጾም ከተጠናቀቀ በኋላ፣ ይህ እገዳ እንደገና ተመልሷል። በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ፣ የክርስትና እምነት ተከታይ ተማሪዎች የጾም ጊዜያቸውን እየፈጸሙ መሆኑ ይታወቃል። የውጭ ምግብ ይዞ የመግባት እገዳው ተማሪዎች ከጾም በኋላ ምግባቸውን በሰላም መመገብ በሚያስፈልጋቸው ወቅት መተግበሩ ተገቢነቱ አጠያያቂ ነው።

በበሩ ለሚገኙ ጠባቂዎች ይህንን ጉዳይ ስናነሳ "ፈቃድ አስመጥታችሁ" የሚል ምላሽ ቢሰጡንም፣ የፈቃድ አሰጣጥ ሂደቱ ግልጽነት የጎደለውና ለሁሉም ተማሪዎች በእኩል ደረጃ የሚተገበር እንዳልሆነ ተመልክተናል።

ይህ ሁኔታ በግቢው ውስጥ የፍትሃዊነትና የእኩልነት እጦት እንዳለ ይጠቁማል:: ስለሆነም፣ በጾም ወቅት ያሉ ሁሉም ተማሪዎች በእኩልነት እንዲስተናገዱና ተመሳሳይ ግምት እንዲሰጣቸው የዩኒቨርሲቲውን ፖሊሲ እንድገመገም አስፈላጊውን ማሻሻያ እንድደረግ በአክብሮት እንጠይቃለን።

በተጨማሪም፣ በጾም ወቅት ተማሪዎች ከ15 ሰዓታት በላይ ይጾማሉ፤ ጾማቸውን የሚፈቱትም ከቀኑ 9 ሰዓት አካባቢ ነው። በዚህ ሰዓት የካፍቴሪያ አገልግሎት አለማግኘታቸው ወይም የሌሎች አማራጮች እጥረት ለድካማቸውና ለምግባቸው መገኘት እንቅፋት ይፈጥራል። ስለዚህም፣ በጾም ወቅት የካምፓሱ የምግብ አገልግሎት በማይገኝበት ሰዓት፣ ከግቢ ውጭ ምግብ ለማስገባት መፍቀዱ ጉዳዩን ለሚመለከታቸው ሁሉ ወሳኝ ነው።

ፍትሃዊነትና አሳታፊነት የካምፓሳችን እሴቶች እንደመሆናቸው መጠን፣ ለዚህ ጉዳይ ተገቢውን ትኩረት ተሰቶት አፋጣኝ መፍትሄ እንደምሰጡን ተስፋ እናደርጋለን። የተማሪዎች ህብረት የሁሉንም ተማሪዎች መብት በማስከበር ረገድ ያለበትን ኃላፊነት ተወጥቶ ለዚህ አሳሳቢ ጉዳይ በአፋጣኝ ቋሚ መፍትሄ እንዲሰጥ በአክብሮት እንጠይቃለን።
