STUDIO EVENT
Durational performance by MOSAICK
collective

29 March, 18-21:00
transmediale studio
Free admission

The durational performance Pattern Parade establishes artistic practice between the live processing of codes, interaction with e-textiles and processing by performers. Human actors, sensors, sounds, an artificial intelligence and three-dimensional objects generate patterns together as equivalent entities that form collective intelligence through metaphysical interaction.

The parade itself oscillates between an algorave and the recourse to old pattern techniques - in search of a ritual that questions the social and spiritual dimension of AI.

Speaking to Ancestors at transmediale studio: Shira Wachsmann

June 21–July 9
Opening: June 21, 19:00

transmediale studio

Speaking to Ancestors is an exhibition series bringing together seven artistic positions that deal with the search for genealogies, origins, and ritual (image) practices, curated by Pauline Doutreluingne and Keumhwa Kim.

At transmediale studio, they present the exhibition The Moment Before by Shira Wachsmann. In her work, Wachsmann explores trauma and its influence on the creation of knowledge production and reality. She understands trauma as a multi-temporal, non-linear network involving multiple human and non-human actors and shows how memories, fears, narratives, identity, and politics shape scars that appear in bodies and in languages as emerging landscapes. The exhibition is complimented by an augmented reality installation that is activated by visitors in the outdoor space of the silent green.
