It has been definitely one of the worst two months start to the local stock market. Across the board you see selloff in stocks. While other markets have been retracing from record high levels, not so much for Bursa as it was only on a path of recovery and yet to reach its peak levels.

Dear valued clients and friends,
As Tradeview Capital approaches 3 years old, it has been an interesting journey for us. To be honest, we are very grateful because without the trust and support of our clients, we would not get this far.
We are also happy to share that our fund since its inception on 1st April 2022, have crossed the RM 100 million AUM milestone. Additionally, we also achieve full year profitability for FY2024 (audited accounts) for the company.
When we started the fund together, it was a bunch of boys hoping to run our own fund management startup in an increasingly competitive landscape. We knew that to survive, we need to carve a niche and ultimately, the business of money is all about performance.
We made a lot of mistakes along the way but we also learn from it everyday. We look forward to doing better in the years ahead (we know it won't be easy), but so long as we have your support, we believe we can persevere.
Rest assure that as one of the few homegrown new generation fund management startup, we will play our part to contribute and support Malaysia's capital markets development. Thank you for letting us dream.
For those who are not yet a client but interested to explore, please feel free to contact us at info@tradeviewcapital.my

Tradeview’s Ng observes that due to the reciprocal tariffs, many fund managers are waiting on the sidelines to see the impact of the decision. “Even if the announcement is [more] favourable [than expected], the market will still take time to digest it.”
After witnessing the massive foreign outflow from Malaysia, he is less positive on the 2Q market outlook. “I don’t think it’s time for investors to be aggressive yet. It’s always good to conserve more cash and wait a while and see how things play out in the second half.”
The fear of data centre infrastructure being overbuilt is another concern for Ng, who says “the narrative that gave us a tailwind last year has become a headwind this year”.
Hann's comment in The Edge two weeks back is published this week. Feel free to have a read.
