BTC/USDT β 1W | Mid-Term Market View
Bitcoin has been in a clear weekly downtrend since October 2025, characterized by a consistent sequence of lower highs and lower lows.
The market then entered a prolonged accumulation/range phase, lasting approximately 230β240 days, with price consolidating between roughly $57,000 and $85,000.
The key structural development has now occurred:
BTC has broken above the previous major weekly swing high around $82,500.
This represents a significant break of the previous bearish market structure.
The weekly breakout suggests that the market is transitioning from distribution/downtrend β accumulation β potential new uptrend.
The breakout becomes more meaningful because it occurred after an extended accumulation range rather than a short-term consolidation.
π Key Level: $82,500
$82,500 is now the critical level to watch.
For the bullish thesis to remain valid, BTC should ideally hold above $82,500 on weekly closes.
If the level acts as support after the breakout, it strengthens the case for continuation toward higher weekly highs.
If BTC loses $82,500 and starts accepting back below the level, the breakout could become a false breakout, requiring reassessment of the bullish structure.
Mid-Term Bias
Current bias: Bullish β provided $82,500 holds as support.
The market structure has shifted, but I would not call the entire move a confirmed long-term bull market solely from this breakout. The next important confirmation is how BTC behaves on the retest of the $82,500 area and whether it establishes a new higher low.
Structure β Breakout β Retest β Higher Low β Continuation
That is the structure I would be watching for the next phase of BTCβs mid-term trend.
