tonycon_ was founded in 2001 as a side project to canecapovolto (video, sound works and podcasts) and The Ox* (electronic music), and has forged an identity that lies between abstract and figurative works.

The various aesthetic strands develop through artistic languages that frequently influence one another: analogue collages, painting and graphic works.

Tonycon_’s works, whether small or large in scale, aim to encourage
small-scale collecting, and are designed for the contemporary art shop, seen as a move beyond the art gallery system.

Rumours had circulated that tonycon_ created his paintings whilst under hypnosis, but this proved to be implausible.

Si era sparsa la voce che tonycon_ realizzasse le opere in uno stato d’ipnosi ma ciò si è rivelato inverosimile.
