Scrapping the national digital ID proposal was an enormous victory – but, as we warned, the infrastructure that could create digital ID by the back door is still being developed.
One Login, the GOV UK App and Wallet, digital credentials, online age checks and facial recognition must not be allowed to grow into a network of digital checkpoints across everyday life.

There should be no further expansion until it has been independently reviewed, Parliament has properly scrutinised what has been built and how secure it is, and the law guarantees that nobody can be forced or financially pressured into using it.
If One Login cannot meet those tests, its future should be reconsidered.
