In 4000 BC Ukraine, the people of the Chalcolithic Cucuteni-Trypillia culture began building enormous settlements of thousands of houses, covering hundreds of hectares, with thousands of people.
But why did they start building them? Were they really cities or were temporary ritual sites, like Burning Man or Glastonbury festival? And why did they stop building them?
This is the story of these marvels of ancient Europe – the largest settlements the world had ever seen – the megasites of the Cucuteni-Trypillia culture.

A deep dive on a new paper which seeks to "challenge" preconceived notions of Anglo-Saxon England which was apparently "diverse" because out of the hundreds of skeletons analysed from the period, two have been found with 1/4 African ancestry.

UK: Immigrant invades a blind old lady's home and sexually assaults her.
The lady's daughter caught him in the act & threw him out.
Cops refused to arrest the migrant, claiming they "did not find an offense."
Instead, they arrested the daughter after she tried to track down the migrant herself.
Cops published the daughter's full name, but referred to the foreign home invader as "man."

"Instead of looking at trends of movements like feminism, BLM etc, I will try to tell this story with a timeline of singular events, similar to the book Human Smoke which tells the story of the lead up to WW2 though a chronological timeline of events that happened on various days. The scope of this project is culture war issues, mainly racial issues, feminism, conspiracy theories, LGBT issues and how they interact with online subcultures. Some events will be exclusively internet based like viral videos or memes being posted for the first time, while others will be more newsworthy events that were discussed and debated on the internet. Not every event will be important in and of itself, some will be used to illustrate a broader trend."

Read Mystery Grove's article on the Tattoo Epidemic, which should be classed as a public health crisis.
He proposes some sensible solutions to reduce the number of tattoos in society. I would add:
1. Tattooists should be legally required to have gigantic signs on their doors that read "TATTOO INK IS HIGHLY TOXIC" and include relevant information, such as:
- Tattoo ink is riddled with carcinogens, mutagens, heavy metals, etc.
- Tattoo ink migrates out of the skin into other areas of the body, such as the lymphatic system.
- Tattoo ink places a lifelong strain on the immune system, as the body continually attempts to purge it (this why tattoos fade over time).
2. Spread anti-tattoo propaganda, specifically targeted at women, since they are significantly more receptive to social shaming and more likely to get a tattoo. For example, an X account that uses AI image editing software to remove women's tattoos (see second image for results).

New paper debunks a major justification for the Great Replacement:
No evidence ageing or declining populations compromise socio-economic performance of countries (Bradshaw & McDermott, 2025)
"Our results provide a strong evidence-based counter to the politically motivated claim that declining/slow-growing and ageing populations in any way compromise national economic performance, income distribution, productivity, political stability, well-being, or health of its citizens. In fact, such populations generally have the highest socio-economic performance indicators in the world."
"This result supports the mounting evidence that smaller populations are in fact beneficial to most of society, in sharp contrast to the unsubstantiated political rhetoric of ‘baby busts’ and an ensuing economic Armageddon."
The authors included one pro-immigration sentence, which was incongruent with their conclusion, but overall a good paper.
