Many people suddenly adopted a pro-Russian point of view due to Zelensky's overwhelmingly negative response to a peace agreement (for those unaware of the broader context, this creates the impression that he, rather than Putin, initiated the war).
Regardless, a ceasefire is the first step to a permanent peace and the fact that Zelensky doesn't want to agree to it, turns most Americans against him. Also for the pro-Ukrainian people in my audience. Let's assume Pvtin does indeed break the ceasefire. What is more likely then? Kyiv in 3 days? Or continued attrition warfare with minimal Russian gains + European weapon supplies for Ukraine?
The war has been stagnant for over 2 years. Russians are not able to quickly defeat Ukraine on the battlefield.
A ceasefire will stop the attrition warfare which mostly works to Putin's benefit anyways. NAFOids should stop dragging Europe down and actually think about the actual consequences of forcing Ukraine to continue the war.
