UN's legally binding Convention and Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees defines a "refugee" as any person who claims to fear living in their home country for basically any reason.

The Refugee Convention was focused on European refugees in the immediate aftermath of WW2, but the subsequent 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees removed temporal/geographic restrictions and extended the Convention worldwide.

The Convention legally requires countries to naturalize "refugees" and forbids them from expelling or returning refuges. It states that "refugees" may illegally migrate to any UN member state and cannot be punished for doing so, and forbids the rejection of "refugees" based on race, religion, country of origin. See: Articles 3, 31, 32, 33, and 34.

In 2019, the UN Development Policy Analysis Division published a paper titled "Increasing Migration Pressure and Rising Nationalism," reminding nationalists/populists that it's illegal to reject or deport so-called refugees.

Trump: "I don't wanna be breaking up families, so the only way you don't break up the family is you keep them together and you have to send them all back."

Annual and cumulative CO2 emissions of China versus the UK.
Daniel Penny is free.
Former Ivy League student Luigi Mangione (@PepMangione on X) arrested for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

The media is claiming he was anti-capitalist and anti-climate change, but those are default opinions that smart young people know to repeat because they get you ahead in life.

Currently, he seems to be a vaguely anti-woke Joe Rogan watching techbro but I seriously doubt that inspired him to terrorism. His political views, past and present, are probably irrelevant to the shooting.

Evidence on X indicates that he suffered a mental breakdown and went missing, possibly due to psychoactive drug use following a botched back surgery.

His GoodReads page lists numerous books on recovering from back pain and on psychoactive drugs. My guess is that this was an apolitical revenge shooting. He looks like a very healthy guy whose life was ruined.
The New York Young Republicans snubbed Kemi Badenoch and the Tories from their famous annual gala because they don’t want to host "globalist losers."

Trump on migrant camps: "I don't care. I'll do whatever it takes to get them out."

He adds that any country refusing to take migrants back will be cut off from American business and tariffed substantially.

TIME: “Do you trust Netanyahu?”

Trump: “I don't trust anybody.”
School makes teenagers insane and suicidal. Significantly reducing the amount of time people spend in locked up in child jail, being lectured about irrelevant nonsense and forced to perform totally pointless tasks, would probably reduce school shootings by a huge margin.

Edit: IMO most people should be taught a skeleton curriculum. Smart kids, who are generally easy to spot from an early age, should be offered a more expansive curriculum and fast tracked to college so they can get it over and done with ideally before they turn 18.
Some good news from Britain, for once:

A 90-acre rewilding project in Scotland has increased the local bumblebee population by 116 times in the space of two years. Massive population boost for a relatively small project.

"Rewilding Denmarkfield said its work showed how even when surrounded by urban sprawl and intensive farmland, pollinators can make a comeback if nature is given a chance."

61% of (polled) Americans have a negative opinion of Luigi Mangione, even after being told his self-proclaimed motivate for killing CEO Brian Thompson was fighting "corruption and greed."

Non-Whites, poor people, and leftists are more likely to have a positive opinion of Luigi Mangione, but no demographic was majority positive. This includes self-proclaimed "woke" people, among whom he finds most support (net -12%). The same demographics are more likely to feel that his killing was justifiable but, again, no majority support.
