The most common Amerindian male haplogroups are Q, R1, and C.
C is an East Asian male haplogroup, R1 is Ancient North Eurasian, and Q also maybe Ancient North Eurasian.
Supposedly Q arose in South Siberia 17000 to 32000 years ago, which aligns with the date and location of Ancient North Eurasians.
Some early Proto-Indo-Europeans had haplogroup Q but the lineage was apparently unsuccessful among Caucasoids.
