With this depiction of a Yamnaya warrior, Christian Sloan Hall has proven that it is possible to wear a skirt and ugg boots without looking gay. We referred to eneolithic steppe burials in which evidence of clothing was found and it turns out trousers don't seem to have been invented yet, and men wore skirts and tunics. The Yamnaya stelae also depict men going about naked except for belts and weapons - reminiscent of much later Roman accounts of Celtic warriors. This warrior is wearing a wolf tooth necklace, silver hair coils on his braids and is covered in ochre body paint. Men on the steppe wore sandals but also had skin or fleece boots for the winter. He carries two bronze daggers and a primitive bronze spear as well as a stone axe. With the limited evidence available to us, this is as close as we can get to a realistic depiction of how a Yamnaya warrior might have looked to the unfortunate enemy who had to fight against them.
