This video hit hard today. They have to have a change of heart before they can have a change of mind. Ben Shapiro argues without scripture because he thinks it’s the only way to convince people if they don’t share his foundations but it’s ultimately just a tactic to try to control them, not to genuinely convince them. It’s not authentic because he won’t stand on the authority of scripture he claims and stand up for his own worldview. If he can convince an atheist to become pro life by some utilitarian scientific argument but they still believe there’s no God, what difference does it make if he’s controlling them with words or with a sword? They are no closer to the Way than they started.

If it’s coming out of Catherine Fitts’ mouth I would pay attention and take note. This does not bode well.
