While writing songs for JPCC's latest album – Made Alive – Sidney Mohede was diagnosed with an ear condition called Meniere’s disease, which has resulted in hearing loss, a constant ringing in his left ear and vertigo.

His first response was: "Why? God, why? I’ve been serving You, I’ve been doing this and that.”

But through the song "My Soul Surrenders", Pastor Sidney has chosen to declare: "Our God is able. He can heal me, but even if He doesn’t, I’m still going to be grateful anyway. I’m still going to worship Him anyway. He is still a good God. I will choose to surrender."
