Christ first. A disciple. Servant. Learning, building and growing one day at a time.

Created to create.

"For me to live is Christ."

On this fine Monday, when we start off the week... I want to share something for us all to practice.

Character is not revealed in a single moment : it is forged in consistency.

Anyone can be kind when life is kind to them. Anyone can be joyful when everything is working out. Anyone can be patient when nothing is testing their patience. But character is seen in the person who remains rooted through every season.

Through abundance and lack.
Through applause and obscurity.
Through success and failure.
Through certainty and confusion.
Through days of overflowing emotion and days that feel painfully empty.

True character is the refusal to let circumstances dictate who you become. It is choosing love when love is costly, integrity when compromise is easier, gentleness when anger feels justified, and faithfulness when no one is watching.

Scripture reminds us that "the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:3–4

Likewise, Paul exhorts us, "Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58

The fruit of the Spirit was never intended to be seasonal. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are not meant to appear only when conditions are favorable : they are the evidence of a life rooted in Christ. (Galatians 5:22–23*)

Anyone can react. Few can remain.

So strive for consistency. Pay the price when it is hardest to do what is right. Remain gentle when the world rewards harshness. Remain faithful when no one applauds. Remain loving when your heart is wounded.

The greatest testimony of maturity is not how high you can rise, but how unchanged your godly character remains as life rises and falls around you.

Be the same person in every season : not because life is the same, but because Christ, who shapes your character, is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) and He is what we hope and ought to be like!

Have a marvelous week!

I completely forgot I even had an Upwork freelancer profile until one of my friends shared something about Upwork in his channel today. Out of curiosity, I logged back in... and wow, it's been a while.

Looking through it reminded me of the days when I was freelancing as a video editor and graphic designer. It was a fun season, and I'm genuinely grateful for the clients I got to work with.

These days, though, my focus has shifted. I've been investing a lot more into my career and ministry, and I haven't really been taking on editing or design gigs like I used to.

I'm planning to completely revamp this profile soon. Over the past couple of years I've built a much stronger portfolio, gained a lot more experience, and now I'm making the move toward software engineering. (I'm still a very lousy programmer, but we're trusting the process. 😂)

Oh, and before anyone asks... I erased the AAU and BDU credentials. They were basically there for decoration. One semester at BDU, almost nothing at AAU : just showcasing my professional dropout experience. 😂

On this fine Monday, when we start off the week... I want to share something for us all to practice. Character is not revealed in a single moment : it is forged in consistency. Anyone can be kind when life is kind to them. Anyone can be joyful when everything…
I was going through my DMs, and someone asked:

"But Kaleb, it's impossible to be that consistent. We're only human... how do you say these things?"

(copied and pasted straight fyi*) That's a fair question.

The truth is, we'll always be in a constant battle with ourselves as we go through life. Some days we'll be tired, emotionally drained, quiet, or simply not in the mood to talk, socialize, watch a movie, or grab a bite. That's part of being human, and I would never deny that.

What I'm advocating isn't perfection : it's intention.

We should strive to be as consistent as we can. Not because we'll never fail, but because the people around us deserve to know they're valued. Even on our difficult days, we can still choose kindness, honesty, and consideration in whatever measure we're able to give.

Consistency isn't about always having the same energy. It's about having the same heart.

I could never ask others to live by something I don't strive to practice myself.

And trust me when I say this : I know firsthand that hardship and discomfort come with what I'm talking about. It's not easy. But isn't that simply part of the journey? Isn't discomfort inevitable if we're trying to become better than we were yesterday?

A few people also asked about the jobs labeled "In Progress (4)."

My cousin actually asked me this in person, so I figured some of y'all might be wondering too.

Back when I started on Upwork, especially here in Ethiopia, getting paid through the platform wasn't always the easiest option, you only had one option or I was just clueless and doing basics, I don't know really bruh. So, for a few clients, we agreed to use other payment methods like Binance instead.

I think that's why those projects are still showing as "In Progress"... but honestly, I have no idea.

I'll look into it and see if I can get it sorted. Until then, let's just pretend they're lifetime subscriptions to my services and ignore it, I do.

Put on the body armor of God's righteousness.

A breastplate covers the chest : the place where the heart rests. In the same way, righteousness guards the inner life. When your intentions are pure and your conscience is clean before God, your heart is protected from the accusations of the enemy.

A person who walks in righteousness carries a quiet confidence : not because they are perfect, but because they know they are striving to honor Christ. Righteousness becomes a shield over the soul.

But righteousness is not always gentle. Sometimes it stands like a storm against wickedness. It confronts evil, defends truth, and refuses to bow to compromise. Love and righteousness are never enemies.

So choose what is noble. Choose what is just. Choose what is righteous. In doing so, you strengthen the armor around your heart and leave no room for the accusations of Satan to take root.

A knight does not merely wear armor : he lives worthy of it.

Frustrating news. I have a feeling and enough knowledge to foresee this won't stop crypto : it'll only push it further underground until it's eventually regulated. The whole idea behind crypto is decentralization, so trying to control something designed not to be controlled has always been a challenge.

What I don't understand is why the Ethiopian government continues to treat the crypto world as if it's something distant or unattainable, when it's no secret that many people : including government officials and institutions : already use it in one way or another.

Tough day for digital nomads like me. Ughhh. 😮‍💨💔

Pro coins : Awash Bank
Silver Coins :Ethio-Tele (131)

Someone asked me if I could back what I said in my previous post about virtual assets.

These are some instances that I can give that are clearly domestic hence regulated (legal) virtual assets that has*have value!

Plus pleaseeee, we all know it that nearly everyone that is close to technologies these days uses virtual assets like crypto one way or another.

Btw you can top up mobile cards straight from platforms like Binance through Ethio-Telecom's network! I'm not even joking.

So, just like I said... I don't think there is no other way they can control it other than regulating it. If not it will be hard for everyone.

Take care and be smart about your choices. ✌️🏽

Sunday : the seventh day of the week on my calendar. Seven is often associated with fulfillment and completion in Scripture.

As this week comes to an end, take a moment to reflect: What has God taught us? What lessons have we learned? How has He been shaping our hearts throughout this fulfilled week?

May we never become too busy to recognize His voice, and may we step into the new week with grateful hearts, listening ears, and willing spirits.

PALEO MUSIC

The mouth bow is one of humanity's oldest stringed instruments, with some of its earliest traditions rooted in Africa. Played using the mouth as a natural resonator, it creates a deep connection between the musician, nature, and the unseen.

To hear paleo music is to hear echoes of our African beginnings.

Have you ever listened to paleo music?

Sad that Mongolia is now famous for it. Africa is surprisingly pioneer to a lot of things.

A brain-rot of a day.

Busy. Productive, even.
A day full of strategy, planning, and thoughts that wandered farther than my feet ever did.

Yet somehow, by the time the sun folded itself away, I was left with the haunting feeling that I am a disappointment of a man.

Late for things. Late in things.

Always feeling a step behind the life I'm trying so hard to build.

Strange, isn't it?

How a day can be objectively good, yet leave your soul convinced it has failed.

I don't even have the vocabulary to describe what today felt like.

The emotions were thick... almost viscous.

Not loud enough to scream, but heavy enough to drown a thought.

A friend once told me it would do me good to share these darker corners of my heart.

Well... here they are.

Yes, emotions are gruesome : for all I care.
But they are not accidents.
God placed them within us intentionally, not to rule us, but to remind us that we are still human.

And no, I am not whining.
I'm simply trying to be poetic.

ብቻ ያው እንግዲህ...
At times, life simply feels like this.

And perhaps tomorrow will sing a different song.
