3 days left for the D-Day

At this stage, the stress might be peaking. Thoughts may be overcrowding your mind. Fear may be trying to overpower your confidence. Flashes of all the years of struggle, sacrifices, uncertainty, and sleepless nights may be running through your head.

But if you are feeling all this, let me assure you- you are exactly where every serious aspirant is supposed to be before the exam.

Now is the time to channelise every emotion into one final focused push. Treat these as the last 3 days of Prelims preparation of your life and give it everything you have.

No matter how low you feel.
No matter how demotivated you are.
No matter how stressed or anxious your mind becomes.

Go all in.

Because sometimes, just 2 hours on one single day can change the direction of an entire life.

In these last 3 days:
-Revise the HITS of every static subject.
-Glance through PYQs of the last 4–5 years. Observe the logic, traps, and examiner’s mindset.
-Train your mind more than your books now.

Meditate. Visualise the exam hall. Visualise yourself staying calm, composed, and sharp during those 2 hours. Build an invincible mindset.

Remember - you already have it in you. Now all that remains is to trust yourself and give your absolute best on the 24th.

Regards,
Sourabh

All the Best for Tomorrow’s Prelims.

Remember, whatever needed to be done has already been done.
The content you needed, the strategy you needed, the mindset you needed - you already carry all of it within you.

Walk into that exam hall with calmness in your mind, confidence in your heart and the belief that you belong there.

A few things to always remember during the exam:

1. If a question feels difficult to you, it is difficult for everyone.

2. Do not panic if you see a new type of question or a bouncer. UPSC is always a relative exam.

3. Whenever stress kicks in, come back to the present moment. One question at a time. Just HERE and NOW.

4. Do not let one bad question, one tough passage or one uncertain guess affect the next question.

And most importantly- enjoy the moment. Years from now, you will look back at this journey with immense pride.

You have already come much farther than you think.

All the very best.
Give it your absolute 100%.

Rooting for your success,
Sourabh

Quite a weird, lengthy and unconventional paper. Believe me, everyone is equally shocked.

You have done your part for now. Don’t overthink the paper or waste energy analysing it at this moment. Just shift your complete focus towards CSAT, because it can very well be the deciding factor today.

Take a deep breath, reset your mind and walk into the next paper with confidence. One last push. Give your absolute 100%.

To all those who appeared for Prelims yesterday,

I can truly understand what many of you must be going through right now.

Years of preparation. Countless sacrifices. Sleepless nights. Missed occasions. The constant pressure of expectations. And after carrying all of that for so long, facing such an unpredictable and mentally exhausting paper can feel deeply unfair.

It is painful. It is frustrating. And honestly, it is one of the hardest emotional spaces to be in.

Right now, many of you might be questioning everything- your preparation, your methods, your decisions, even your own capabilities. You might be wondering whether all of this was worth it. These thoughts are natural. They come from a place of emotional exhaustion, not from truth.

I also know that many of you are silently carrying the fear of judgement. The fear of disappointing your parents, friends, mentors or even yourself. The burden of explaining what happened when you yourself are still trying to process it.

Feeling sad is justified.
Feeling angry is justified.
Feeling numb is justified.

But one thing you must not allow is self-doubt to take permanent space in your mind.

Do not let one paper define your worth. Do not let yesterday convince you that you are “not good enough.”
Do not let randomness shake your belief in your own potential.

Because the truth is- yesterday’s paper was not merely a test of knowledge. A large part of it was dictated by unpredictability, pressure and uncertainty. And sometimes, despite doing everything right, the outcome still hurts.

Life is not always fair. It never has been. But strength lies in learning how to move forward despite being dealt difficult cards.

And yesterday, many sincere aspirants were handed some of the worst cards possible. So please, do not turn this experience into a lifelong scar. Do not let one examination create an inferiority complex within you.

You are far more capable than what one exam can measure. You are far more resilient than what you currently feel.

For now, pause for a while. Take a breath. Rest your mind. Look back and appreciate how far you have come, how much you have endured and how courageously you kept showing up every single day.

And when the dust settles, rise again. With more clarity. With more maturity. And with the same fire that brought you this far.

With you always,
Sourabh
