Indian Embassy in Beijing Publishes FAQ for Indian Students in China

✅ Purpose:
• To inform Indian students studying in China about the procedures for attestation of their documents and degrees obtained from Chinese colleges. 📚
✅ Background:
• A large number of Indian students from the 2016, 2017, and 2018 batches are set to return to India in June and July after completing their studies. 🎓
✅ FAQ Highlights:
• Fees charged by the embassy and Indian consulates in Shanghai and Guangzhou for attestation of documents. 💸
• Time taken for the attestation of documents, including on a fast-track basis. ⏱️
• Whether attestation of documents from the Embassy is essential for acceptance in India.
• Procedure for verification of documents forwarded by various medical councils in India to the Embassy.

Armenia To Leave Russian-Led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
✅ Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that his country would pull out of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
✅ Mr Pashinyan accused members of the alliance of siding with Azerbaijan which launched a military campaign in September, 2023 to seize control of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
✅ Armenia’s ties with Russia have become strained since Moscow refused to intervene in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Russia had acted as guarantor of a peace deal that ended a 44-day war with Azerbaijan over the disputed territory three years ago.
✅ The CSTO is a Russia-dominated alliance of former Soviet states that have pledged to protect one another in the event of an attack.

✅ On 13 June, 2024 the US and Ukraine signed an agreement laying out Washington’s long-term security relationship with Kyiv on the sidelines of the 50th G7 summit in Italy.
✅ US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the bilateral deal, which comes after 15 countries concluded similar long-term security agreements with Kyiv, including Britain, France, and Germany.

✅ Mumbai International Film Festival Will Be Held At Chennai From 15th June.
✅ The festival aims to provide a wider range of appreciation of films by students and cinema lovers.
✅ This is the 1st time that the festival is conducted in the City of Chennai, Calcutta, Delhi and Pune and it aims to provide a platform to the beginners of the film industry.

✅ NCRB launches a Mobile App “NCRB Sankalan of Criminal Laws” to serve as a comprehensive guide providing complete information about the new criminal laws in one place.
✅ The New criminal laws will come into force on 1st July.
This App is a compilation of new criminal laws namely Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
