✅ The newly formed district will be known as Maha Kumbh Mela.
✅ The upcoming Maha Kumbh held once every 12 years, is scheduled to begin on January 13 and conclude on February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj.

#IndianArmy contingent arrived at Subang Airbase, #Malaysia 🇲🇾, to participate in bilateral Army Exercise #HarimauShakti with the Malaysian Army (#TDM) to be conducted at Bentong Camp over the next two weeks from 2 to 15 December.

The #HarimauShakti Exercise focusses on Sub-Conventional Operations, and will enhance interoperability between the two Armies of India and Malaysia.

#Nagaland has 18 officially recognized tribes which have their own distinct culture, and festivals.

The Nagas consider their festivals sacred, so participation in these festivals is essential.

Cyclone FENGAL

👉 Cyclone Fengal made landfall over Puducherry on November 30. This tropical cyclone was named by Saudi Arabia.

👉 Landfall is the event of a tropical cyclone coming onto land after being over water. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a tropical cyclone is said to have made landfall when the centre of the storm – or its eye – moves over the coast.

👉 A cyclone is a large-scale system of air that rotates around the centre of a low-pressure area. It is usually accompanied by violent storms and bad weather.

👉 Tropical cyclones are those which develop in the regions between the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer.

👉 Tropical cyclones have different names depending on their location and strength. For instance, they are known as hurricanes in the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, the North Atlantic Ocean and the eastern and central North Pacific Ocean. In the western North Pacific, they are called typhoons.

Government has said that, in this year, cumulative paddy residue burning incidents have declined by 68 percent as compared to last year.
Minister of state for Environment, Kirti Vardhan Singh informed Lok Sabha in a written reply that, in 2022, more than 53,000 cases of stubble burning were recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, NCR districts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

But this year 12 thousand 530 incidents are reported in these states. He also stated that fines on the farmers burning stubble have been doubled this year.
