Japan experiences record heat, prompting calls to save energy

As Japan swelters in very hot weather, the federal government has allegedly appealed to Tokyo residents to “preserve energy.” The Japanese government and utility providers have warned that the electrical energy supply is “tight.” They have also apparently provided incentives to individuals in order to reduce their energy use.
