NFP FINISHED ME ON FRIDAY. 📉

Friday started normal but little did I know something was about to happen.

I saw EURUSD and decided to take a BUY.

The funny thing is, I knew I wasn't supposed to take that trade. It wasn't what my strategy was giving me, but I still entered.

I had my risk calculated though. I wasn't being reckless with the lot size. My plan was simple, if the trade failed, I would lose about $1,000 and move on.

Then NFP dropped. The momentum was too much causing EURUSD to sink like the Titanic in seconds.

Before I could even process what was happening, the market smashed through my Stop Loss and kept going down.

I checked my account and saw that the momentum caused by the news have pushed down my Stoploss and handed me a loss of -$3,200.

I just looked at the screen and was very disappointed.

Because how do you plan to lose $1,000 and end up losing $3,200?

That's the part that annoyed me the most.

I had spent time waiting, calculating my position size and protecting my account... But I got punished because I didn't follow my own strategy.

NFP didn't really kill me. My decision before NFP did.

Sometimes the market doesn't need to teach you a new lesson.

It just needs to remind you of the lesson you already knew but decided to ignore.

Follow your damn rules brothers!. Even if it has to do with you taking just one right trade per week. 👊🏽
