At dawn on Tuesday, April the 22nd 2025, a dozen of hooded police officers burst into his home in the Paris suburbs. Without warning, they forced open the door, shouted, and handcuffed Hazamy in full view of his partner and their two young children. A brutal search ensued, amid a deafening institutional silence.

No clear motive was given during his arrest. Today, he is responding by taking legal action.

This case has rekindled the debate on press freedom and the repression of pro-Palestinian voices in France.
