Breaking | According to the WSJ citing officials and sources familiar with the situation, President Donald Trump and his advisers are considering resuming limited U.S. military strikes against Iran, alongside maintaining a U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, as a potential way to break the current stalemate in peace talks.

The reports indicate that these options were under discussion on Sunday, hours after negotiations reportedly collapsed in Pakistan.

Officials added that another option being considered is a broader bombing campaign, although they described this as less likely due to concerns over further destabilizing the region and Trump’s reported reluctance toward prolonged military engagements.

NEW | Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the U.S. has not asked the country to support a U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

We’ve received no requests, and they’ve made this announcement overnight... in a unilateral way. We haven’t been asked to participate. I want to see the resumption of peace talks.

We want to see an end to this conflict. It’s having a devastating impact on the global economy and the longer it goes, the bigger the impact will be, and the longer the tail will be as well.
