On Thursday, a widespread wave of Israeli airstrikes hit southern Lebanon, specifically the towns of Kfar Dounine, Al Taybeh, Tayr Debba, Aita al Jabal and Zawtar al-Sharqiya.
The strikes marked one of the most intense bombardments in recent months and came despite a ceasefire deal reached nearly a year ago that was meant to end attacks and ensure Israel’s withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory.
Israel continues to violate Lebanese sovereignty through near-daily bombings, with 5000+ violations and daily killings, additionally to occupying several illegal positions inside Lebanese land despite international calls for withdrawal.

NEW | 104 U.S. lawmakers have urged Israel to halt the planned demolitions in the Palestinian village of Umm al-Kheir in the occupied West Bank, warning the move would leave families homeless as winter approaches.
The bipartisan letter, led by Representatives Jamie Raskin, Jerrold Nadler, Jim Himes, Sara Jacobs, and Dan Goldman, condemned the demolition orders targeting 13 homes and a community center, describing them as part of Israel’s illegal settlement expansion in clear violation of international law.
Lawmakers also cited ongoing settler violence, including the 2025 killing of local leader Awdah Hathaleen by a U.S.-sanctioned settler who remains unpunished.
