We will have information booths on homeschooling K-12, free homeschool curriculum, co-op and enrichment center information, homeschooling children on IEPs along with extra curricular activities available to families.

Join us for Advocacy Day at the Capitol as we speak with legislators and their staffers about this detrimental bill and how it would personally impact you. Make sure to turn in your letter of opposition through the senate portal https://sjud.senate.ca.gov/content/senate-judiciary-committee-policy-support-and-opposition-letters. The deadline is July 11th for individuals and organizations. If you’re an org your letter must be on a letter head.
We need you to join us in another Senate in district silent rally in opposition of AB84. We are organizing on the app “BAND”. Each district has their own chat room so it’s easy and you won’t be alone. Once you download the app go to your search engine and put in TinyUrl.Com/StopAB84Coalition. If you can’t find us visit TheInformedMama.org for the link.
The bill is set to be heard July 16th

AB495 is one of the most sinister bills that have been introduced in California. It allows for non relative adults to take custody of a child even when the parent has not signed off. No due process

We have had great private conversations with 5 senators who could be flipper which means we only need 2.
We hve to engage because no amendments can fix this bill, we need to kill it.

We have an update from California Capitol on AB84. As you have seen, AB84 was amended last night (after deadline) as the California teachers Association is working hard to undermine California families, we have been speaking directly with Senator’s & Assembly members and feel confident the author still does not have a votes to bring the bill to the floor. We have added 3 more ( private) no votes from Senators on top of our 19 and we feel good with several more who will be with us.
It’s time for parents to recognize the CTA does not have our children’s education as a priority and have attempted to weaponize policy to destroy non- classroom based charters and create charter deserts. We are thankful for the Senators & Assembly members standing for education. Keep contacting your legislators and oppose the dirty political games from the CTA.

The only option we have is parents in California is to homeschool or comply, should Gavin some run for President, I hope his legacy of throwing injured children under the bus follows him.
