UPSC MAINS preparation is diagonally opposite to UPSC PRELIMS preparation.
Make these your best friends -->
1. Syllabus : Write syllabus points of each GS paper on a sheet. Divide your time from pre to mains in finalizing each topic. BE METHODOLOGICAL.
2. PYQs : Define the contours of preparing the above syllabus pointers purely from PYQs. Use any Value-added-material or notes as a reference to topic in syllabus and pyqs. Can refer some resource to get solved PYQs as well to get a model answer.
3. Topper's Copy : Scan through toppers copy of past 3-4 years to learn how to STRUCTURE>PRESENT>VALUE-ADD in an answer
4. Current Affairs : Never read word-to-word or page-by-page like in prelims. Look for specific topic you want to cover in a compilation. (Can be Prahaar or Mains 365 or anything else)
5. Test Series : Pick up any one test series to enroll and attempt in a timely schedule of 2 months. (Vajiram, Forum, NextIAS, Vision--> All are good)
6. Test Series of past year : Pick this up from market to practice daily answer writing and use model answers to add value to your topic.
7. Mini-Notes : Make topic wise crisp notes of value addition as you keep reiterating above SOP.
8. DONT STOP READING NEWSPAPERS. They help in developing lot of points (fodder material in GS and PSIR as well)
9. MOST IMPORTANT- WRITE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. BREAK THE INERTIA. Examiner won't see your face, your notes or your years of hard work. They have only your copy in their hand. THE COPY SHOULD SPEAK for you. Your answers should shout BRILLIANCE. And it will happen layers by layer. Bad answers have to come in the practice sessions for good answers to come in exam hall. SO FAIL MAXIMUM ON YOUR STUDY TABLE.
GOD SPEED! ❤️
P.S. If Pelims is T20 Cricket match, Mains is a Test Series (not even a match) of 5 matches.
Unlike Prelims, there are no shortcuts or tricks in Mains.
You have to show your CLASS, CHARACTER & CONDUCT in next 3 months. GO AND GET IT!

Indian Philosophy Part - 15
Hitopadesha
विद्या ददाति विनयं विनयाद् याति पात्रताम्।
पात्रत्वाद् धनमाप्नोति धनाद्धर्मं ततः सुखम्॥
Meaning :Knowledge makes one humble, humility begets worthiness,
worthiness creates wealth and enrichment,
enrichment leads to right conduct, right conduct brings contentment.
Most important aspect of Education is to destroy ego, but often we see a sense of entitlement after getting a degree, passing an exam, becoming a civil servant, that is nothing but failure of Education.
Application - No better quote to use than this in Essay related to Education, Role of Education in shaping value, Wisdom, humility

If something is not working out today... analyse the flaws and mistakes you are doing rather than just quitting it in frustration!!
There are times come when we get frustrated or irritated by doing the same things on repeat mode even when it's not giving the desired results.
Here comes a major turning point some just quit the things in frustration... even without analysing their mistakes or why they are keep failing.
And the other set of people calm their mind to analyse that what they are doing wrong.. they analyze, evaluate and start working again and do not leave it until it's done.... that makes them different and ensures that they deserve success in whatever they are doing.
Try to come under the 2nd category of people... don't get frustrated if you are not seeing results right now... it can be delayed but not denied if you are truely nd calmly working hard on something... and when you get it after waiting patiently, it gives a difference kind of satisfaction.
Keep working hard..
Be patient...
Be calm 🌷✨

How do you manage stress?
It happens with everyone that most of the time we burn out in stress and it reduces our productivity.... mostly it is suggested that to escape out of stress we should divert our like watching movies , memes and all but that's a temporary management... thoughts will come again nd will continue to trouble you
Sometimes escape mechanism does not work nd we need to deeply analyse the root cause of stress... we find that it's just because of Overthinking Sometimes about our future , results nd what not
If the cause is not in your control leave it completely because it's unnecessarily draining your energy...
And other reason for stress is Sometimes that we consciously know that we are not doing certain things we need to do in a right way... but we keep ignoring our inner consciousness... that's where analysis plays an important role... do not ignore your inner instincts... if you feel like something is going wrong analyse it... and start working on it rather than just Overthinking about it.
I know it's not gonna be easy but it's worthy...
Have a productive day ahead. 🌷✨
