📌 Two new species of jumping spiders have been discovered from Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary.

Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary
1️⃣ Location: Western Ghat, Kerala.
2️⃣ It is part of Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve, owes its name to the endemic species, Gluta travancorica, locally known as "Chenkurinj.
▶️It shares boundary with Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and Nellai Wildlife Sanctuary of Tamil Nadu.
3️⃣ Major rivers - Shendurney, Kazhuthurutty and Kulathupuzha.
4️⃣ Forest Types: Myristica swamp forest.
5️⃣ Fauna: Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Wild bear, Malabar giant squirrel, Nilgiri langur, Lion-Tailed macaque

📌 Nodal Agency – Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
📌 Implemented under PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
📌 ₹1 crore per village allocated, executed by State Renewable Energy Development Agencies (SREDA).

✅ Key Features:
🔸 Solarization of all households, water systems, streetlights, and public areas.
🔸 Financial Assistance: ₹1 crore per village based on Detailed Project Report (DPR).
🔸 Fund Disbursement: 40%-40%-20% model ensuring effective execution.
