1οΈβ£ Location: Western Ghat, Kerala.
2οΈβ£ It is part of Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve, owes its name to the endemic species, Gluta travancorica, locally known as "Chenkurinj.
βΆοΈIt shares boundary with Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and Nellai Wildlife Sanctuary of Tamil Nadu.
3οΈβ£ Major rivers - Shendurney, Kazhuthurutty and Kulathupuzha.
4οΈβ£ Forest Types: Myristica swamp forest.
5οΈβ£ Fauna: Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Wild bear, Malabar giant squirrel, Nilgiri langur, Lion-Tailed macaque

π Implemented under PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
π βΉ1 crore per village allocated, executed by State Renewable Energy Development Agencies (SREDA).
β Key Features:
πΈ Solarization of all households, water systems, streetlights, and public areas.
πΈ Financial Assistance: βΉ1 crore per village based on Detailed Project Report (DPR).
πΈ Fund Disbursement: 40%-40%-20% model ensuring effective execution.
