I just learned that Brazil has never won against Norway in a World Cup game. Norway is the only team on the planet to have faced Brazil and never lost.

4 meetings
2 norway wins
2 draws
0 brazil wins

Just my two month stay at Better Auth last year led to the biggest jump in my career and compensation across my whole dev history. I am really grateful for that.

I am really grateful to beka, kinfish, and max. I had an awesome time working with yall even for that very short period of time.

Congrats everyone ❀️

Apparently, LG webOS lets you make and install your own apps. Claude Fable made this. It is called webOS so as you might expect, the app is just an HTML file. They expect you to build it as a SPA. It uses the radio browser API to get the live streams.

The guy who invented utilitarianism also created the words "maximize" and "minimize".

As in the words used to define utilitarianism itself.

"maximize happiness, minimize suffering"

Was reading a paper about steganography using LLMs, and it made an interesting point.

It said something like, we call the time before humanity started writing "pre-history". So as LLMs become more popular, and more of the writing produced is no longer written by humans, we might call our time "the end of history" or "post-history".

But there's another way to look at it. We call prehistory what it is because that time wasn't documented or preserved in writing. Now, though, the volume of writing being produced is enormous, and LLMs could help us document our era more extensively than any other time before so maybe we're living in a time of "ultra-history".

But the ultra-history framing may itself be a failure mode, since most of that record will just be noise.

The technique works really well and the fact that the cover text looks relatively valid is very cool.
