The R package repository CRAN doesnβt let you publish a new version of your own package if the update causes a test failure in any other CRAN packages that depend on your package.
This makes the whole package repository function like a monorepo, where every package update moves in lockstep with its dependents and dependencies.
Hardcore idea but i like it.

The hackathon was great, was worried about my talk, it ended up going well, met a bunch of cool people from the community.
I stayed up all night on friday preparing my talk, I was the first person there, got there at like 12:30 LT in the morning, every cafe was closed.
Then went on to drink 5 cups of macchiato (2 of them were cappuccinos) on saturday, to have enough energy to give the talk, felt like my heart was gonna explod later that night (but i am ok now, just needed to sleep).
There were a bunch of cool ideas, i especially liked tech nerd's and natiyu's Better Auth GUI idea.
Listened to a bunch of cool songs with mike, ezra, chapi that was cool, also dougnut is really good at FIFA.
Had to bail early on Sunday, to go home and get some sleep, but it was awesome, cool day and cool night.
Thanks to all of the organizers for making this event possible β₯οΈ, especially to kinfish for landing the cool venue, and organizing the event.

At work, we have a slack channel where every app event gets logged, like new sign ups, people creating new projects, and even stripe notifications for when people pay for the product.
The cool part is that I, as a regular employee, also have access to the channel and will literally get a notification when the company makes money.

I didn't mention this in my talk but one of oxide's most radical ideas is their policy of uniform compensation across the board, from the ceo to the person that was hired yesterday, they all get paid the same salary.

The movie starts out with an artistic depiction of an RL run, and alignment is achieved via a two line convo with the ai, but the alignment not working loops into the plot so that's good.
It was actually a good movie very efficient, every scene leads into the next one. It pays homage to the original tron and tron legacy. The computer scenes were good. All the commands we saw the characters run actually made sense. At one point we see
Was pleasantly surprised, was expecting it to be bad but it's actually very good.

systemd logs and towards the end of the movie one of the characters tries to run sudo kilall. The soundtrack was good even though it's not daft punk, it is very enjoyable. Was pleasantly surprised, was expecting it to be bad but it's actually very good.
