You don't need to specify a port via a PORT environment variable when deploying to render.

Another open-source maintainer gets burnt out. This time it is Denis Pushkarev, the maintainer of core-js. core-js is a library that provides polyfills for latest ECMAScript standards so that your javascript can run on older browsers. I didn't know about core-js before i think, (but maybe i remember it from the funding request thing). But it is used internally in SWC and Babel. The situation is exactly like that xkcd meme.
Core-js is used in 54% of the top 10,000 websites in the world. Whatsapp, LinkedIn, Netflix, Ebay, QQ, Apple ...
But none of provide neither financial nor code support for the project.
It is a long story read it here, highly recommend it though it is kind of long. The guy got imprisoned and he is from Russia so his finances got impacted because of the war, and a whole lot of other issues
He is not leaving the project, He is still going to work on it.

Mac OS allows you to set an Emoji-password. But the login screen has only native keyboards, no special characters window, no auto replacements. Thatβs the reason I couldnβt access my Mac for two days as I mentioned at the beginning of the article.
iOS doensβt allow to switch to Emoji keyboard when youβre typing in password field, but allows to copy-paste it.

Why you should (not) use Emoji in your passwords
Last week I launched EmojiKey, a product that allows to type Emojis on laptop/desktop as easy as typing letters.

This could be fixed for websites and apps via a custom keyboard (this might be hard to implement) but it would be cool. Just forget the username and password scheme, when the user opens the app or the website just ask them to input 4 emojis and log them in that way. There are 3,633 emojis as of September 2021 (Google Search). So

3,633 ^ 4 = 174,205,391,318,721174 trillion is more than enough options

A quick look at how electronic music was made in the early 80s. I think they are using some sort of BASIC styled programming language, but i don't know what it is.
