So many people shouldn't be programming.

Most people don't care about the quality of the code they produce. An easy fix for a company is open sourcing all your work. At least then people might be ashamed and try to do better.

Code produced for free to be openly published, is always better than code produced in companies, where people are actually paid to do the work.

If you are working on a startup, not using AWS is financial irresponsibility.

I know everybody wants to do SSR now but nothing beats the simplicity and cost-efficiency of deploying SPAs.
Everybody was making fun of this new batman's emblem being a rectangle on twitter, but the comic is actually a really cool new look into batman, i like it.

Namma Yatri

Probably the coolest thing fp bros have ever done in the business world.

- A ride hailing startup in India.
- An open-mobility platform, emphasis on open

- Zero commissions on trips
- Uses a subscription model instead
- Drivers pay a fixed very low amount per month
- 25 rupees / 35 ETB per day
- Passengers pay less, Drivers earn more

- An open dashboard
- Anyone can see the number of trips
- Anyone can see how much money is being transacted

- Everything is open-source
- Entire company is fp pilled
- Backend is built with Haskell
- Frontend is built with Purescript
- Infra is managed with Nix
- Some services are written with Rust

They made Uber cry.

All ethiopian start ups should learn from this.

Just saw a podcast with the founder, here are some paraphrased quotes.

- I saw simplicity in lisp, you can do a lot with very few building blocks.

- Can application software be like system software that's kind of a rule we have.

- Can a technology allow you to go down the stack easily.
