You can try it out on the web, go to you favourite button and replace ...addEventListener("click", ... with ...addEventListener("mousedown", ..., it feels way faster.

Made a web extension that does this. It only works on firefox for now.

It essentially overloads most click actions registered on elements, to happen on mousedown instead of click.
