I hope that the smart phone is not the only form factor we have to interact with the digital world. I feel like the people at humane are trying to offer a viable alternative. So i like it (the ai pin thingy). https://hu.ma.ne/
who would have guessed the ai boom would lead to more hardware startups

In the next 10 years we're going to think of developers who can work without using an LLM, the same way we think of COBOL developers now, because they will be the only ones who can work in some specific high risk domains that prohibit the use of an LLM due to some security or reliability reasons.

this is literally what I think of Timnit Gebru
imo if she really cared about ai ethics and stuff she would work on making better algorithms to train models and create ways of filtering biased data from training sets

does a personality cult emerge around people when they become successful?
or
do people form a personality cult around themselves in order to become successful?

harerta is considering becoming a software engineer, this is concerning but I feel like he would be a great game developer.
