AASTU is way better than AAU how the heck did they get this guy to give a talk https://t.me/AASTUSE/2612
AAU (EiABC and AAiT) student councils organize football matches = 🤡

while the AASTU student council invites a NASA scientist to give a talk = 🗿

The Abstraction is the Machine

We suffer -- tremendously -- from a bias from traditional engineering that writing code is like digging a ditch: that it is a mundane activity best left to day labor -- and certainly beneath the Gentleman Engineer. This belief is profoundly wrong because software is not like a dam or a superhighway or a power plant: in software, the blueprints _are_ the thing; the abstraction _is_ the machine.

I remember setting up 2 printers at my high school, it was really easy you just had to follow the instructions.

and another time at some office they were having trouble with their printer because it was not being detected over the wifi, I don't remember how exactly I did it but I fixed it and I remember them being mesmerized 🤣

people are really afraid of printers

the original mickey mouse (Steamboat Willie) just entered the public domain, i am excited to see what people will make with the character. somebody is probably already filming a horror film adaptation, as I write this.

some of you might have seen this tweet where elon posted the x logo converted into ascii art but what make this different is the image is composed of the digits of a prime number

after sometime Jelani Nelson commented an explanation saying that one can convert any picture into a prime number by randomly changing the value of a random pixel, that noise won't really affect what the image looks like but this random selection process will help you find a prime number, because turns out prime numbers aren't really that rare. for more detail checkout the research paper he linked.

you can see the random selection process at work by the random 7 in the image of the x logo, there to help make the number prime.

and like i said i couldn't resist making a program that takes in an image and converts it into a prime number and so i did it. 🎉

in rust of course
