On August 7, 2024, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a massive attack with mobile assault groups on the Kursk region.
Crossing the border, the assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to occupy the townof Sudzha, reach the city of Korenevo and advance at the peak of offensive activity in the direction of Lgov up to 30 km.
After which the phase of maneuverable combat operations was stopped by units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and the line of combat contact began to stabilize.
After a month of military operations in the Kursk region, the area of territorial control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region is estimated to be 964 km², with some areas on the map still requiring significant clarification and adjustments.
Just a month after the raid, more than 100 vehicles are confirmed lost and geolocated in Kursk and nearby areas of Sumy (including numerous destroyed HIMARS).
The total number of destroyed vehicles is obviously higher.
You can see the vehicles, as well as their location at:

AFU material losses according to LostArmour count.
Of special interest is the notable increase in losses in the MRAP, APC and IFV categories in the last 30 days and corresponding to the Kursk raid.
Offensive operations require greater use of armour than defensive operations, the losses are in the same order of magnitude as the famous summer offensive of 2023.
There is a slight increase in tank losses, as we have been saying, the ‘tank’ category is becoming scarce in the AFU, and due to NATO's expensive and small tank production, it simply cannot be replenished once the Ukrainian Soviet stockpile is completely wiped out.
Instead NATO equips the AFU with capable IFVs, such as the Lynx or Bradley, this dynamic is starting to show in the Kursk raid.

The use of FPV drones with a fiber-optic data transmission channel on a Ukrainian Armed Forces tank, Kursk region. It is possible to note the differences in the use of such drones, in most cases, it is not a dive into the rear part of the turret, for which quite effective means have already been developed, but a defeat in the vertical projections of the machine from a horizontal flight. It can be noted that the operator selects the most vulnerable section of the junction of the turret and the hull, which requires additional cover.

Consequences of attempts by mechanized units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through to the village of Vesyoloye in Kursk with the aim of distracting the North Group of Forces from the Sudzha operational direction.
In particular, for more than 2 weeks now the enemy has not reduced the intensity of the attack on our forward fortified areas in Vesyoloye, continuously introducing reserves through the settlements of Krasnooktyabrskoye and Novy Put into the settlement of Obukhovka.
Most of the equipment is successfully destroyed by FPV drones of the 106th Tula Airborne Division.
In this particular viceo, we can pay attention to the disabled American APC "Stryker", BMP-2, armored repair and recovery vehicle BREM-1, as well as the eliminated assault unit of the enemy.

Partial defeat and pushing back of a light armored group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces consisting of 2 companies (19 units) of MRAP armored vehicles andAPCs by a pair of BTR-82A of the 810th separate marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet in the Kursk region (presumably near the village of Zeleny Shlyakh).
Fire impact on the enemy was carried out from the 30mm automatic cannons 2A42 likely using armor-piercing sub-caliber shells ЗУБР8 "Кернер".
The BTR-82A crews worked from pre-prepared positions in forest plantations in a "nomadic" mode, and therefore did not come under enemy machine gun fire and FPV drones.
8 units of equipment were disabled, another 11 were pushed back.

Armored group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, disabled by cannon artillery fire (including the Msta-B and Nona-S self-propelled artillery guns), kamikaze FPV copters and minefields of the 106th Tula Airborne Division on the southern approaches to the Obukhovka-Vesyoloye agglomeration in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region.
The enemy planned to form an assault mechanized company-tactical unit in a forest plantation on the western or eastern flank of Obukhovka to envelop Vesyoloye and break through to operational space in the direction of Glushkovoye. But the operators of the optical-electronic reconnaissance copters of the 106th Airborne Division promptly revealed these intentions.
It is worth noting the presence in the armored group of a number of MRAPs (Kozak-7, Kirpi), a Stryker armored personnel carrier and a heavy M2A2 ODS-SA Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, equipped with the latest BRAT-2 ERA kit.
