96K6 Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon system intercepts a low-observable, low-altitude UJ-26 "Бобёр" kamikaze UAV of the AFU over the strategically important Dyagilevo airfield of the Russian Armed Forces in the Ryazan region.

The drone, with a calculated effective reflective surface of about 0.07 square metres, was detected by the 48Я6-К1 "Подлёт-К1" low-altitude detection radar at a distance of about 37 kilometres and was escorted after issuance of a command to the Pantsir-S1 SAM system.

The S-band radar detector the Pantsir-S1 complex detected the drone at a distance of 15 km, and then it was escorted by the 1РС2 "Шлем" guidance radar and the 10ЭС1 multispectral optoelectronic module.
At a range of 12-10 km, a high-speed intercept was performed by a 57Э6М interceptor. Apparently, it was a kinetic hit-to-kill intercept, which is an infrequent event for SAMs with radio-command guidance method.

Russia has unveiled a new drone that attacked Kiev a week ago.

The Gerbera "Гербера" drone was presented by the previously unknown N.F. Gastello Design Bureau. In the promotional video, the drone was called the younger sister of the Geranium. The drone comes in three variants: kamikaze, electronic reconnaissance and air defence decoy.

In reconnaissance configuration, this drone can be equipped with a multispectral television and thermal imaging optoelectronic module with a short/mid-wave IR channel, as well as a command and telemetry channel and a channel for transmitting video images from sensors, via local 4G networks or via individual secure radio channels with the use of repeaters to operate within a radius of more than 100 kilometres.

In addition to the optronic reconnaissance module, the drones can be equipped with interferometric sensors for passive radio-technical reconnaissance to detect and identify radar-based detection and illumination means of enemy SAMs or active EW systems. Gerbera UAVs can also be used as decoys to simulate the RCS of other UAVs by equipping them with Luneberg lenses. This version of the Gerbera UAV is designed to saturate the target channel and mislead the enemy SAM crews. This version of the drone is equipped with INS and GLONASS/GPS correction modules. The strike version of the drones have a similar control system and a HE or thermobaric warhead.
Made of foam and plywood, the Gerbera UAVs have an ultra-small RCS of about 0.015-0.03 square metres.

Two "Куб" kamikaze drones hit the firing position of an M777 155mm howitzer in the Kursk region.

Both drones failed to achieve a direct hit on the gun itself, but the second drone was able to damage the M777 with shrapnel and also set fire to the charges for the howitzer hidden in a nearby landing, thus destroying the ammunition.

It is interesting to see the use of the "Куб" which is sporadic compared to the larger Lancet.

"Садко Next" 4x4 with armoured cabin at the International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2024”.
The vehicle received armour plating on both the cabin and the engine, as well as the fuel tank. Measures have been taken to enhance mine resistance.

The vehicle was shown in a variety of configurations, most of them focused on fighting FPVs and UAVs on the front line or in the immediate rear.

One of the modifications had a combat module with dual 23mm ZU-23-2s. Also shown was a modification with an AGS-17 as well as another with a Kord machine gun and a pure transport variant.
It should be noted that the "Садко Next" is a civilian vehicle, so mass production of a military variant with armour would not be a problem. A few hundred or a few thousand of these or similar vehicles, deployed in mobile groups across Russia, would be an effective solution against the use of Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
Although these measures are already being implemented, this is evidenced by the decrease in infrastructure impacts across Russia.

An automated 12.7mm machine gun station with optical rangefinder and stabiliser, was also presented at Army-2024.

Interestingly, the developers have also taken care of such a problem as collateral damage from large-calibre bullets falling to the ground, which can damage civilian infrastructure and local residents during active anti-aircraft fire.

The use of special 12.7 mm self-destructing rounds is proposed to avoid such incidents.
