Founded by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, the Aussie band exploded onto the international stage in 1979 with the release of their multi platinum selling sixth album, Highway to Hell.
The death of charismatic frontman Bon Scott in 1980 threatened to derail the group, but AC/DC powered through.
They recruited Geordie vocalist Brian Johnson and unleashed their most successful effort to date, Back in Black, which has become the second best selling album in history.
The band spawned countless imitators over the next two decades and enjoyed commercial success well into the 2000s, with 2020's Power Up debuting at number one on multiple charts. AC/DC were formed in 1973.
First of course comes the title, โ€œ505โ€. It has been put forth that this number actually represents a hotel room, which is possible. But a more reasonable explanation, considering that in the chorus the vocalist sorta implies that said locality is or can be quite far from where heโ€™s situated, would be that itโ€™s a more general locality, like an area code.

I'm not even sure where home is. Probably Terminal 5. There is a strange sense of calm about arriving back at Heathrow.

In 1968, when Patti Smith was twenty one and working in a Manhattan bookstore, she went to a Doors concert at the old Fillmore East. She loved the Doors.

Bon Jovi is a household name. One of the most successful American rock bands of the last 40 years, the group has sold tens of millions albums, all loaded with hook filled, arena rock anthems like Livin' on a Prayer, Bad Medicine, and You Give Love a Bad Name. And then there are those epic power ballads, like Wanted Dead or Alive and Always.
In 1905 Albert discovered Relativity, in 1906 he invented Rock and Roll.
