🛡️ New Feature: Impersonation Protection (Beta)

We are currently testing a new Impersonation Protection feature for @tetherpro_bot to help protect users from scammers pretending to be trusted sellers or other well-known Telegram users.

🔍 How Does It Work?

1️⃣ Verified Account References
We maintain a database of frequently impersonated sellers and their original Telegram accounts, identified using their unique Telegram User IDs (Chat IDs).

2️⃣ Detecting Potential Impersonators
When someone contacts you using a name that closely resembles a registered seller's name, our bot checks for possible impersonation.

Example:

- ✅ Real seller: Ahmed Nazeeh
- 🚨 Suspicious account: Also named Ahmed Nazeeh, using the same or a similar profile picture, but with a different Telegram User ID.

If suspicious similarities are detected, the bot may issue an impersonation warning.

3️⃣ Warning, Not Automatic Accusation
An alert does not necessarily mean someone is a scammer. It simply means the account resembles a known seller closely enough to warrant additional verification.

This feature is still being developed and improved. During testing:

• False positives may occur.
• Some impersonation attempts may go undetected.
• Detection accuracy will be improved periodically as we refine the system and expand our reference database.
