#AEA submitted the vision formulation study document for the new Ethiopia schools design (.nEs.)as part of its engagement on the national rebuilding effort of the schools destroyed by the war in the northern part of Ethiopia.

AEA President Amanuel Teshome handed over the design documents to HE. Prof. Berhanu Nega, Ministry of Education Ethiopia, Minister. After 6 weeks of intensive work on the formulation of the vision for .nEs. this marks the end of stage I works.

AEA calls on all its members to stay tuned for participation calls on Stage II works which will be preparation of full design documents for site specific schools.

Together we will rebuild our country.

#zahahadidarchitects Construction of the three new stations for #Dnipro Metro is underway. Excavation and engineering works of the 4km extension to the city’s metro line were initiated in 2016.

Reducing traffic congestion in central Dnipro, the metro line extension will also enable the parks, beaches and recreational facilities on the banks of the Dnipro River in the east of the city to be easily accessed from the city centre.’

Defined by concepts of intuitive navigation, the interiors are designed to orientate and direct passengers through each station while enhancing their experience to ensure safe, comfortable and enjoyable transport across the city.

Alebel Desta Consulting Architects and Engineers has been selected as the winner of an international competition for the design of ET Flight 302 #Crash #Site #Memorial #Monument and #Park #Design Competition. #Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Ethiopia's Bole International Airport to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft that operated the flight crashed six minutes after takeoff near the town of Bishoftu, Gimbichu Woreda on March 10, 2019, killing all 157 people on board.

The third winning ($5000) entry by Bereket Tesfaye Consulting Architects and Engineers (#BTCAE) for the #ETFlight302 Crash Site Memorial #Monument and #ParkDesign one stage international design competition by the #EthiopianAirlines Group (ETG).

The crash site is found in Oromia Region, East Shoa Zone, Gimbichu Woreda between Tulu Farraa and Hama Kuntushule Kebeles, located 115 km to the south east of #AddisAbeba.
