British designer Paul Cocksedge's ‘impossible’ living watercolor design was selected as a finalist for the UK National Pavilion during Expo 2020 in Dubai. Every color in the pavilion comes from the flag of a nation exhibiting at the event, expressing unity, partnership and possibility.

Selgascano + FRPO Design Inflatable Canopy for Spain's EXPO 2020 National Pavilion

Architecture firms Selgascano and FRPO have been announced as a finalist in the competition to design Spain's National Pavilion for EXPO 2020 in Dubai. Their proposal includes an inflatable canopy of nine yellow ETFE cylinders set within a steel framework. Reinterpreting the Spanish plaza, the design creates a new take on the public square. The pavilion was made to be ultralight as a more sustainable structure that could be easily removed and transported.

In joint venture with Huayi Design, Aedas recently won the design competition for a pioneering project at the East Wing of the Shenzhen Campus of the Cooperation Zone. The project occupies a prominent site at the heart of the Cooperation Zone. It enjoys great proximity to both the Futian Port and the New Huanggang Port (where Aedas also served as the lead architect) and unobstructed views towards the Hong Kong Campus and the wetland beyond…

#AEA submitted the vision formulation study document for the new Ethiopia schools design (.nEs.)as part of its engagement on the national rebuilding effort of the schools destroyed by the war in the northern part of Ethiopia.

AEA President Amanuel Teshome handed over the design documents to HE. Prof. Berhanu Nega, Ministry of Education Ethiopia, Minister. After 6 weeks of intensive work on the formulation of the vision for .nEs. this marks the end of stage I works.

AEA calls on all its members to stay tuned for participation calls on Stage II works which will be preparation of full design documents for site specific schools.

Together we will rebuild our country.
